Chelsea have triggered Demba Ba's £7.5million release clause. Ba is currently talking to the club and won't play for #NUFC tonight.
For £7mil I think this is a great signing and one I have been calling for all along! Call me a genius... Anyway our last player that we signed for a low amount of money was Cahill and he's been a huge success and lets hope this lad is as well.

This is a brilliant deal. Ba is already scoring a vast amount of goals in a bottom table team. He will score loads more with Oscar, Mata and Hazard behind in attacking midfield.. Ba reminds me of Drogba.
I suggested him for Spurs, by my fellow Yids claimed him to be too much like Bent. I agree with them. There's too much of the mercenary about him, and he always seems to score goals in losing games, which is great for him but utter **** for the team. It'll be interesting to see whether or not he can work with Torres.
Really? I rather get the impression that Torres is going to be the first name on the team sheet, in every game, regardless of form. Having said that, I think Ba is a better player than Torres, and you'd do well to play him as often as you can. He'll bag you a hatful of goals, for sure, which cannot be guaranteed with Torres.
He is always first on, and we don't play 2 strikers, hence why Ba won't play with Torres. However, I think I would rather have Ba play.
BTW, i have this question.. why the hell our guys are lagging so much? Liverpool have done with their Studge deal already.. Jan 2 he is a liverpool player and might be eligible for this weekend FA cup fixture.. Thought we have a dedicated team just for this... Are those guys on un-paid vacation until Jan 2? We are just starting and the time we sign him up he will be off to ACON for f@ck sakes... Was very glad about ACON until now - for Obvious Mikel reasons, but after realising Moses is representing Nigeria & possible Ba situation - just hate ACON!!
