Mock all you like but it will be years before you binners even compete in the EPL again, if at all. Small town club with a monochrome history, that's what you are and always will be. With the wealth that current EPL teams now have and the parachute payments that go with it, it will be a bloody miracle if a club like 1p5wich Towan ever play in the top league again
oh my, just been pointed in this direction. are you boys struggling to understand the concept?! let me explain it to you again. you see, there are 7 clubs currently in the premier league who have so much money to spend on wages that nobody else can really expect to compete with them. if you take those 7 out of the equation, it leaves 13 others who are all much of a muchness in terms of ability and finance. we finished 11th overall, which means we finished 4th in the 'best of the rest' division. nobody is claiming we have actually finished 4th seriously, was it really that difficult to grasp this concept? none of my fellow city fans failed to understand it. if you like, i'll post where ipswich finished - 27th (34th overall). hope that helps...
