Interesting (or not) that the amount spent on wages correlates to positions in the PL. Obviously not exacyly, but not far off.

Also Man U and Arsenal obviously generate the most matchday income and Chelsea spend more on wages compared to income than anyone else.

    Wage Bills 2009 - 2010

    Chelsea - £174m (£167m)
    Man City - £133m (£83m)
    Man Utd - £132m (£123m)
    Liverpool - £121m (£107m)
    Arsenal - £111m (£104m)

"For the first time, two clubs – Manchester United and
Arsenal – each generated over £100m in matchday
revenues in 2008/09. Together, these clubs generate
almost £2 in every £5 of matchday revenue across the
    whole league
    ."

    "Together Arsenal, Liverpool and
Manchester United and the newly promoted clubs
collectively generated operating profits of £196m.
By contrast, the other 14 clubs recorded combined
    operating losses of £117m."

We need to get rid of some high-paid dross and invest in some high-paid quality.

Chelsea and Man City have some way to go to meet the new fair-play rules.

    this is getting very off-topic.

arsenal are in a very strong position. their wage bill isn't that high, their stadium is big, revenue streams are increasing, debt falling, and in another few years they'll have huge amounts of cash available :)

man utd are also in a strong position with regards to the FFP rules. man city look screwed pretty much!! chelsea are in trouble too from the appearence, tho you'd need more accounting info to be sure.

Liverpool incidentally...who are they spending all that money on!?!?

    oh and... http://www.arsenalamerica.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Spurs-Kid-Crying.jpg

Although apparently Villa are 2nd on the list of highest spending on salaries. How?

Arsenal certainly look in the best financial situation. Now come on Wenger, spend some.
