Its evident that he desperately tried to get at least 2 centre halves in and just wasn't able to get the deals over the line due to financial constraints.

Spoke highly of the fans and said he will miss the day to day training with the players.

Good bloke, it's a real shame it never worked out.

 

His inabilities will be illuminated by the achievements (or non) of SOD

Lets hope he's not a SAD SOD

Well S OD has set his stall out already McManus too expensive so off back to Middlesborough only thing that worries me is does that mean Fontaine is playing and if so which Fontaine shows up the one who played well when McInnis made him captain last season or the one who has been worse than useless this season?

 

This is why I wanted McInnes to stick around...

The whole FFP stuff is bull****. The board simply doesn't want to give out money to the club that it doesn't feel can be returned. SOD will get no favours and McInnes has paid the price for our boards inability to back the team.

If FFP was a genuine worry then the board would be spending to grow the team as much as possible before the sanctions hit us.

 

We will see how much difference SOD makes.....Del's downfall was his ablilty to put out a decent and consistent team, knowing his best formation to get the best from the players we have..
Lets hope SOD with his experience, does just that

....he probably knew these but the first game he didnt play loads on here shouted he didnt even put Baldock on the bench hes crap..truth is and was he has an injury, just another to add to our woes

 

I think there is probably loads more to this that we will never know. Just like with GJ, Basso, McIndoe, Carle, Hartley etc etc.
Why has Fonts been so ****e this season despite being fantastic towards the end of the last season?
Why didn't Del play Davies? (It seems SOD isn't playing him either)
Why, when we are desperately ****e in defence, do we let defenders leave?
All questions but we will probably never find out the real truth.

 

Defenders cost money I hope they don't plan to spend same amount of money on each area
