He has done well. It may be a poor league, but he was still better than the rest. I wanted him to do well for us. He spoke well but just didn't work out. Keeping him wouldn't have been any worse that having SOD though
Well done to Del, but as we have seen time and again success in what is now a 1 team league in Scotland is still a very different thing to achieving it in the top 2 tiers of English football, be that player or manager. I wanted him to do well for us so badly,as for no real reason I prefer a young up and coming manager to an old duffer.
With the wonderful benefit of Hindsight the answer is a resounding NO,however I don't think even Mystic Meg would have predicted what a disaster SOD would become. Pretty much to a man on this site it was greeted as a great appointment given his record at this level,it just shows you never know. Del was out if his depth and all but admitted to such and had to go.
