I think we all know that Del will be with us throughout this season, should we go down, he may be in a sticky spot, but I think he is with us, so we should back him to the hilt. spreading rumour and counter rumour can only further depress all at AG.
He needs to get back into the loan market with urgency, although there is little evidence of anything happening soon, strangely this and other forums are also very quite on the subject. As always COYR's!!

We're all frustrated right now and rightly so. The first few weeks of the season started so promisingly and now it's deja vu. We have to trust Del and the players to get the club out of this mess. Last year it was Stead who took the proverbial bull by the horns and ran himself ragged for the cause. That's the determination and effort that we need from the entire squad.

The injuries are unfortunate but that;s footy. The constant team and formation changes are somewhat worrying and a settled team would appear to be the way forward. problem is, Del doesn't know what this is yet.

If we are adrift by Xmas, things may be different for Del but right now I cannot see him being jettisoned.

McInnes isn't going anywhere because we cannot afford to get rid of him. Whether he should or not is largely irrelevant.

Again, without continued significant investment the club won't prosper. We've bought in some good players, but we've spent years wanting a creative midfielder and we've desperately wanted a new central defender for a while now. The fact that we balked at Anthony Gerrard was clearly to do with money, and it's again fairly clear that McInnes isn't going to be backed with everything he wants.

I would be more than happy to see us run the club on a budget if we would invest money heavily into our academy. I'd be happy for us to spend absolutely nothing over the next few years if we could pour that money into having an academy on par with many Premier League teams. The fact that our academy tends to farm players off to the likes of Clevedon Town for nothing says it all really.

I know what you mean about the Academy but how many really good English players are coming out of
all these Premier League Academies? Judging by most Prem teams the local players they produce also
disappear and the first team gets filled with johnny foreigners with better skills who are happy to come here
for the money. The whole Academy system seems a bit busted to me at all levels. The Prem teams seem to
raid foreign clubs for their best young potential and hoike them into their setups. That isn't what it is supposed
to be about is it - those youngsters are a product of foreign training not the Prem Academy. So I am struggling
to see where all this money spent on academies actually is getting any club - including ours at the moment.
The exception maybe is Crewe who have an enviable record with young local talent - we need to find out how
    they do it.....!

It would be much cheaper for us to let Del go than face relegation......Fact.

Depends on his & Doc's contracts. Championship payments from the fa and football league are £4.6m per year. League One clubs get £1m. So if they're on say £17k p/w each that would be £3.5m contracts to pay up as they've got 2 years left?

You beat me to it AD, I was going to write pretty much the same article.

I would go further in as much as it is time for everyone to get behind the team like we did at the end of last season. Last thing the players need to hear is that sickening groan come from the crowd when someone makes a mistake. Must be sole destroying IF you are trying your hardest.

Its got to the point now where those who constantly moan can't enjoy going anymore so why bother. I would rather have a crowd of 9-10k right behind the team than have those who moan for 90 minutes non stop - not needed, not needed at all...

Yup you said it, that's for one year. IMO if we go down, it will take several seasons for us to come back up.
That would also with out doubt put any stadium talks on hold......
We would lose any good players that we have.
Gates would fall and so would TV money....
    The list goes on....

Sorry there is no "depends" that comes into it.
