With the fiasco at the turnstiles there is no wonder they can not get the numbers correct.
Stoke match supervisor was swiping people in after they had already presented their cards, this time she had to put her hand over the reader before each swipe.

I'm not surprised crowds are down.
    Football isn't cheap
We are a small fish in a big pond
    Awful owners.
This constant removal of the word Hull from our name.
    Membership schemes
    Lack of atmosphere.
I've watched more away games this season than home games and I can't see that changing.

By definition it should mean those who attend i.e. actually show up, but universally it doesn't. All clubs announce it as the number of tickets sold.

we don't - we make up a number which sounds better than the actual number attending and the actual number of tickets sold

We are a small fish in a big pond?
Why should that mean low gates?
We currently get lower gates than the vermin, SWFC, Huddersfield, SUFC and even Bradford, despite them playing in lower divisions.

Our season pass list should have 5k on the waiting list, given our success in the last 10 years.
Instead we have smaller crowds now than we did in League One.

    All clubs do this.

None are accurate figures of who is actually at the game.

It's wrong. But its wrong for everyone.

Anyone who believes that over 2,500 of our pass-holders simply don't bother attending is a little bit bonkers.

There will be a number who bought a membership just to watch the big 5 or 6 and maybe a couple of other matches.

There will be a number who have cancelled because of the Allams and/or our league position.

There will be a number who cancelled because they lost their jobs, had a cut in pay, or generally found it too expensive.

Finally there will be a number who had other things to do on a Sunday afternoon. Around me there were a few regulars who didn't come to Sunday's match.

Given the state of the club and the feeling of ill-will around 2,500 not attending this Sunday seems reasonable.

    Any proof of that?

I'm quite sure that number is made up of a number of things too.

It's not right I agree, but as I said, it's not just something we do, it's something all clubs, certainly in the top 2 divisions, do.

People buying memberships just to watch the big teams, just because passes were cheap, is definitely happening, but I don't accept there's 2,500 of them.

People who have cancelled, for whatever reason, can no longer be counted as members, so drop off the figures.

I could have taken another three or four people with me on Sunday all who decided they would go on the morning of the game. If you could simply walk up and pay at the turnstiles like normal clubs they would have come along.

The ticket office arrangements are ridiculous, but that's a **** excuse, there's a ticket machine at the ground, it's not difficult to just rock up at a game.

I never said there was 2,500 of them.

So what are the current membership figures? You seem to have them or else you wouldn't have quoted the 2,500.

The 2,500 is the difference between the attendances announced at matches last season and the actual amount of people who attended.

I will wait for the abuse.
    I have a seat in W5.
Most of the seats around me are used for corporate purposes.
On Sunday I had a scout from Arsenal sat next to me.
He is a bum on seat but I doubt he has purchased a ticket .
Would he be included in the attendance.
There are generally at least 10 such characters around me
