The capital city of Wales entertain those little Tykes from Barnsley today the jax play at Molineux and it's a North/South Wales derby for Wrexham and Newport. So my question is Which Welsh club is under the most pressure to win this weekend?
I think Newport to be honest, but the Swans do need a result from wolves as well, as for Cardiff they need to keep up with the play off positions.
Cardiff no question. Another defeat on home turf could put the skids under Malky's morale building plans and consign us into a mid table slot. Swansea are under no pressure at all as far as I can see. They're not expected to win much this season and staying up this year would be seen as success by all but their most optomistic supporters. True that Newport need a good result, but of much less significance than the two senior Welsh clubs. Wins for Cardiff and Swansea would make the biggest impact on Welsh football as a whole.
tough one this. Cardiff need a win but so do the Jacks and Newport!! Would hate to see the boo boys turn on MM so soon like they did with DJ. historically, October / November aren't good months for us as the players seem to be affected by that damn seasonal adjustment disorder (SAD) but they usually pick up again late December.
Swansea under some pressure, I think. My biggest fear is that we have been "found out". So it could well be a defining moment.
What you mean like the fears that we were 'found out' last season ? We play the way we play, if we have the ball it means the opposition doesn't , and unless I'm mistaken malky is trying that with Cardiff, possession football is a positive thing to do and the teams that do it well will succeed .
Oh come on, there are teams below us on less points, so what about them ? I don't believe in this urban myth of being found out, we play possession football others play route one like stoke , have they been found out ? We either win or not the same as any other club, going by the bookies odds we shouldn't bother turning up as we are dead certs for going down, you get better odds on finding elvis alive and working in Porthcawl than for us to stay up
We've not beaten the Tykes in the last two home games, let's see what the new lads can do.It's a must win against Barnsley today.
Teams that come up often do well then fade. Perhaps more due to initial enthusiasm petering out than being "found out". Norwich certainly seemed to have us sussed last week. Closed the midfield down really quickly. They let us play a bit after going 2-0 up but I think Lambert must have had a few stern words with them at half-time.
Norwich played well, and they made us play badly, kinda like we did with stoke and west brom, and dare I say it the gunners, all teams lose its that simple, we need to be more ruthless and I think that will come at wolves.
