Defining moment in the remainder of our Season

This Sunday could well be the defining moment in the remainder of our season and possibly Newcastle's.

I am in no doubt as to the first derby game being a big catalyst to put them where they are. It gave them a massive lift and did exactly the opposite to us (although having a manager that doesn't do tactics may have also had an effect!!)

Half of me is excited - the other half is nervous as hell - stomach is already in knots about this game.

Hope we can put our recent derby hoodoo to bed - a point would be fine - 3 would be tremendous

 

Not sure it will be a season defining game mate an important one yes. Our record of late there is terrible if I'm honest so, as you say a point will do.

It'll be a nightmare if we don't perform again....

Like Talc says...our results there for decades has been awful....i'll take a draw right now...

whatever happens i won't be on here as i'll be too pissed

 

I think Everton in the cup is more important - we're then only one win from a final ...should we beat Everton, then I guess the semi-final will be the more defining -then, should we get through -the final of course.

If we play like we did last Saturday, another nightmare for us, if we play like we played against the Gooners in the cup, we can romp home!

 

This:we are potentially 2 games away from European football assuming one of the current top 4 make it to the final.

 

If we get beat on Sunday thats 3 League games in a row we have been beat, if we capitulate then thats 2 in a row where we have been hammered, I think sundays game is very important, If we lose it could knock confidence a lot, which in turn wont help us in the cup (and we have Liverpool before that, if we stumble in that one it could be 4 League games without a win) and we are not safe yet.

 

Both the Skunks and the Toffies games are massive, and I believe a positive result against the Skunks could be a massive boost for everyone concerned for the remainder of the season..

I certainly hope we return to top form! Not a West Brom horror show!
