Defender's QPR future in the balance By Jacob Murtagh Aug 3 2011 Share Add a comment Recommend NEIL Warnock wants to have a final look at trialist Bruno Peroni before deciding whether to offer him a contract at QPR. The centre-back, who is also comfortable in midfield, played 45 minutes of last night's friendly win at Crawley Town before being forced off through injury. But boss Warnock wants to give Peroni another opportunity to impress. He said: âWe wanted Bruno Peroni to play 90 minutes. He's done all right but we've still got to see him properly. âFor one reason or another he's not played a full game. He's got a lot of pluses, and a few minuses that we've got to iron out. âHe's not in a rush to move on. I'm sure there's two or three clubs after him already but he wants to see if we will take him on board. QPR boss has back-up plan if Puncheon bid fails By Jacob Murtagh Aug 3 2011 Share Add a comment Recommend NEIL Warnock insists he's got other irons in the fire if he misses out on Southampton star Jason Puncheon. QPR have had bid accepted for the wantaway winger, who has not been given a squad number by the Saints for the coming campaign. But Warnock has already missed out Wayne Routledge this summer, and admits he's got other targets lined up in case he fails to land Puncheon. He said: “The clubs have spoken to see what the situation is but there's nothing concrete. “We lost out on Routledge and you've got to have a different plan for certain games, particularly away from home. "Certainly Routledge showed that pace can help, and I think you need that as well. He wanted to come back but it's one of those things. “Puncheon's one of those names that have been mentioned but we've got a couple of other irons in the fire. It's not cut and dry with anybody at the moment.” Read More http://www.fulhamchronicle.co.uk/lo...=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter#ixzz1Tx4STMWw
