QPR keen on Swansea City defender Jordi Amat - Reports

The Championship club are in search of defenders following the departure of Steven Caulker, but are not willing to pay more than £20,000-a-week

Swansea City defender Jordi Amat is one of a number of defenders being eyed up by QPR, according to reports.

With the 23-year-old centre-back not getting a look in at the Liberty Stadium thanks to the form of Ashley Williams and Federico Fernandez, he may be interested in a move.

But Mirror Football report that QPR could struggle to afford him as they look to limit any new signing to a wage of £20,000-a-week.

Last term, Rangers' wage bill spiralled out of control and the club fell foul of financial fair play rules, now owner Tony Fernandez is cutting costs.

Steven Caulker has been shipped out to Southampton on loan just to get him off the payroll and Rangers are looking at a number of other defenders to replace him.

If he truly is a wife beater (or girlfriend beater), then I can't accept him being at QPR. But I don't really know what the charge was exactly for... a slap around the face or actually beating her up. Can anyone enlighten me on this?

Clearly a piece of **** that we and every other professional football club should avoid.

It is said that fans forum and Twitter help stop spam from signing Barton...would not mind the same thing happening with Simpson...not the right sort neither as a team player nor as a human being
