Will be very interesting how our back 4 lines up vs Newcastle this weekend.

Koscielny is a big doubt, Montreal is injured and chambers is suspended.

No idea who can play CB alongside mertesacker if kos can't make it.
Either Debuchy (!!!) or some youngster

Kos will probably be given an injection and made to play IMO. If not the Debuchy CB and Bellerin RB.

Made to play? Do not think so. With Kos he basically has a time bomb of an injury and if it goes, then he could be out for months. Doubt Wenger is going to take the risk. Maybe it's time Gibbs played as a CB. Every other defender has had a go.

That suspension Chambers picked up was outrageous, that second yellow at Stoke was a ****ing **** decision from the ref and could really cost us against Newcastle, who look like they've come good again after wobbling a bit.

We should have appealed it. Still a back 4 of: Bellerin BFG Debuchy Gibbs should suffice. Also helps that Debuchy is good in the air (at least for a FB) and has decent pace.

Kos was given more than enough time to recover but both both ankles are still causing problems. He will probably just have to play until the Club decides he needs surgery to actually fix the problem.

What an awful, stupid situation to be in. What happened to addressing the muscle injury problems? Injury champions 2014.

Unless he's in a bad state I would play him. I wouldn't risk playing lesser players just to shield Kos. We need to have our best team out there and Kos is one of them. We need to get some consistent wins under our belt and a defence with Kos will do that. We are not so far away from the Jan transfer window so we can buy a CB then and give Kos a rest.

Aaron Ramsey is also likely to miss out, which means Ox in midfield.

Have we got a single player in the squad who isn't a crock?
I expect Sanchez will have joined them by the start of next season

We're stretched too lads, no Santon, Ryan Taylor, Steven Taylor, Sissoko, Abeid, Obertan, Aarons, Krul or Elliott.

Both teams heavily depleted but I fancy you to cope with it better than we do.

Kos out, Ramsey out and Wenger has said "if everyone is fit there's no need to go into the transfer market." Just get that man out. When was the last time Arsenal had a fully fit squad? YEARS ago. He's well past his sell-by date and still in denial of all problems. It's his fault and his fault alone that this season a 19 year old who had not played at CB was the only CB cover. His downright negligent.

There is no doubt that we need a CB this January. I would be quite flabbergasted if this does not happen.

Apparently monreal out but gibbs is fit - so id imagine a backline of gibbs, merts, chambers and bellerin.

Debuchy did some games at CB for Newcastle didn't he? I'm sure he can do a job there as he's cracking in the air. Problem (for both teams) is the constant change in squads as it's so hard to build consistency. Coquelin is back as well and he can play DM/RB/LB if needed.

Sissoko out? That could be a real game changer as he's been in cracking form lately.

Got his 5th booking against Chelsea, he's vital to our counter attacking set up so as you say he'll be a big loss.
