Kind of shocked to see that our defence is still looking shocking on the whole. Other than getting a top defensive coach in to review the situation, what do you all think SG should be going with ahead of a tough week. Kissa's now out, that leaves the following to chose from. Connolly, Bromby, Lees, O'Dea, O'B & White. Personally, I'd go with the following: Lees, Bromby, O'Dea, White. Although there's no natural rightback in there, I'd rather have Bromby's experience in the middle over Lees. With Bromby's long throws being a big asset when he is playing, there'll be a certain amount of inter-change between him and Lees as it is. I'd like to see this line-up chosen (with Kissa/Connolly as back-up) for a while as nothing has looked 100% solid so far this season. What are your thoughts?
Connolly Lees O'Dea, White. that should be our back four going forward with Kissa challenging either CB for a game. Lets see Lee's in the middle & Connolly did a good job for us last term
Connolly is the only right back at the club and was the most consistent defender last season. Why is he being left out? He played badly in the first 2 games, but everyone did. He gets forward, supporting Snodgrass, taking defenders away from him and giving him more space. Tom Lees is good, but not at rightback. The only thing O'Dea has got going for him is that he's left footed and that provides more balance. Kisnorbo is awful this season. Bromby should be playing. O'Brien and Bruce are dead. So far, Aidy White has been the best defender. He was our best player on Saturday. Connolly, Bromby, O'Dea, White
connolly needs to play now, hes been dropped so should come out fighting for his spot, also he gets up the wing more naturally which helps snoddy alot
