Defence key to Saints success

Sorry if published elsewhere, but detailed analysis of the effectiveness of Saints' defence.

 

So many stats these days. Interesting though. Lets hope we're still talking about our great defence in a month or two.

 

I think a defence like ours will get us those odd one goal wins that we couldn't seem to get before...that could be the difference between this season and the last.

 

Are we better than last year? Right now we are level with last year on goals conceded? It was about now that Boruc had the wobbler at Arsenal and we had a mini collapse.

These next few games are HUGE.

 

We'll also always be a finger break or keeper red away from a dodgy keeper for a few games.

 

Think we can call Boruc back...we'd probably do that is it was going to be more than the odd game. Not sure how happy Boruc would be though.

Even Artur isn't stupid enough to stop his pride from making sure he puts in a good performance.

 

That's an interesting point. We're also 8 ahead on goals scored and two points ahead, which could be accounted for by an 8-0 win instead of a draw.

I notice that Tottenham had conceded 6 goals by this point last season. This season they have conceded 16
