Tonight's game showed me that we will not get anywhere near the two auto places. Not because we're not good enough, or because we haven't got talented enough players, but because we STILL have too many "big time charlies". All those who said they feared that we were going about things wrong and not building slowly to get promoted over 2 or 3 seasons look to be dead right.

Too many of them just don't seem to care whether we win, lose or draw!!

    Very, very disappointed.

    Player ratings and comments:

Green - 3 - Very good save at 0-0 but didn't play to the whistle for the 2nd goal and made no attempt to save the shot!!
Simpson - 4 - Always committed, but totally clueless in forward positions.
Hill - 5 - Run ragged at times.
Dunne - 5 - Same as Hill and gave the ball away too much too. WE NEED TO GET ONUOHA BACK INTO CB AND DROP DUNNE OR HILL FOR HIM. PLAYING HIM WILL GIVE US PACE AT THE BACK ALLOWING US TO PLAY A LOT HIGHER UP AND GETTING THE WHOLE SIDE FURTHER FORWARD!
BAE - 6 - Looks good always, but doesn't look like he gives a ****!
Carroll - 3 - I've given up on him now. I've always stuck up for him on here, but tonight's performance showed me that he just isn't up to it and his complete lack of pace means he can't get himself out of trouble. Another who doesn't seem to give a ****!
Henry - 3 - Another who I have defended but tonight he looked like he was playing in trainers................slipping everywhere and getting caught in possession time and time again. Awful display.
Jenas - 4 - Made a few good runs and linked up well at times. I used to rate him but he's another who looks like he doesn't give a ****!
Phillips - 5 - A few decent touched but never really threatened and I'm really not convinced about him.
Kranjcar - 4 - Fat, unfit and doesn't seem to give a ****! Gave the ball away time and time again. A good delivery from a free kick and........that was it!! A very, very poor man's Taarabt!!
    Zamora - 0 - Useless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And definitely doesn't give a ****!!

    Subs:

Hoilett - 7 - I know most seem to not rate him, but he improved us ten-fold in the 2nd half by at least running at and taking players on (Simpson take note!!). Not sure he gives a ****!
Johnson - 5 - Clearly not fit and made no impact. Not sure that he gives a ****.
Benayoun - 6 - Not a lot of time to make much difference, but looked lively.

Redknapp - 2 - For ****'s sake Harry, start with the RIGHT team to start with. The starting line up looked so unbalanced, but we looked a lot better with Hoilett, Benayoun and Johnson on.

If Harry doesn't get a grip soon and get these players motivated, I predict that we'll be lucky to get a play off place.

    I'd settle for a play-off place now.

I agree with the sentiment mate but you've rated Simpson twice and given him different scores.

you will still win the league, once you start scoring goals, I noticed there are only 2 teams outside the bottom 3 that have scored less goals than rangers, that is a worry, that harry will put right in january

Don't lose hope Col. This is a tough league to get out of. We've played badly this season and won, we've played well and lost. Tonight we missed Barton, we've missed Faurlin since he got injured, we've been missing a back up to Austin for a long time, that will be rectified. I still think we will go up automatically, but what do I know!

The problem won't be solved by buying more players, it's the way me play - IT'S THE MANAGER.

But we had Chevy and simply didn't bother with him. Then Austin gets injured as we all feared he would.

Personally I find it a shame that we have a handful of loanees and over the hill players getting games ahead of our youngsters. I would love to see Hitchcock and or Skapetis be given a chance as well as Doughty and Sutherland. They are supposed to be our future, not Carroll, Zamora, Johnston, Henry, + + +
I would rather see us playing the youngsters blended with the likes of Hill, Kranky, Barton, Phillips, Green, Austin, Hoilett....... if that means we miss out on promotion this year and secure it next time that will surely be a price worth paying. After all if we go up this season we will need another big influx of players to replace over the hill and loanee players.

We have by far the most 'talented' squad of players but are not standing out from some very ordinary teams. Forest are very average at best

I thought they tried in the 2nd half, just weren't good enough today. The BAE thing is symptomatic of BAE, not the squad. Same goes for green, he's always been a bit dozy.

I think there is a difference between talented a big names.

I certainly wouldn't have your defence and forwards over ours.

I was surprised at how good Reading's squad is. Think they're the side to look out for. They gave us a much tighter game than you did last week.

Your midfield is unbelievable though. ****s all over everyones in the league on paper. On paper being the important aspect of that sentence.
