Right, noo biatchin, we got what we deserved last night, and we did'nt perform nearly to the level we know we can, BUT, we live to fight another day, and we've got more important things to worry about. There are plenty of Premier team that get beaten a lot more then 3-0 by man-ure... Brighton next, lets see if we can put there honeymoon period to an end, and climb the championship ladder. If we can string three league wins together, its going to do the world of good to our players. Few quick questions Is Lees going to be good enough to fill our rb role? Whats going to happen to Connelly? Would we be happy if we signed O'Dea on a perminent deal? When are we going to sign a quality centre back?
Morning all. No. Doesn't look good enough to fill our CB role with his continuous mistakes he keeps making, either. I had very high hopes for him, but there's no way you can rely on a kid like that to perform in the Championship after only proving himself two divisions below. The unfortunate byproduct of the Bates transfer policy. He'll stay on the bench. Surely he's had an argument with Grayson or failed to turn up to training or something? Totally inexplicable why he hasn't got a look-in. He attacks the ball OK, but there's no need to sign him permanently. We can and should be getting better. Not that we will. The day Bates ****s off.
Morning Elland. Seems as though we were put firmly back in our place. Pity we didn't get the early goal. Doubt it would have changed the result. But at least we would have had something to cheer about. As I've said somewhere else, we were 2.66 times better than Arsenal, & at least we held the moral high ground on the singing.... (apparaently no references to Munich, as opposed to a 'kin great Istanbul banner). How the hell did they get that past West Yorkshire's finest? Someone somewhere should be asking serious questions of plod. Given what else is going on in the world, you'd have thought that plod would have been on their toes for such a high profile game. Anyway to Brighton. How did Varynin do last night & will he start on Friday? Kisnorbo will probably be back, but will Bromby keep his place instead of O'Dea? Who's our new signing, Pugh?? If so, will he start & White move to LM? If so, where does that leave Nunez & who partners Becchio up front?
Cheers prolific. Bit of a lesson for our boys I think. But hopefully they've learned something from it. Anyway, to more pressing matters. Anyone else hoping the liverpool match goes to extra time tonight?
full hog-120 mins and a ridiculously long pen shootout ending 32-31 or something like that would be amazing!
Morning all..My fellow southern softie whites Oh and them the wrong side of the M25 morning to you as well...LOL. So on to Brighton and another 3 points..By hook or croock they are ours. Think Brighton honeymoon period is over and their league position is a false one...After all they are only southern softie's ..
& I thought I was being a bit hard Prolific. Heyho, it'll be just our luck that Brighton put out their B Team, lose by half time, & have their main side fully rested for Friday.
There was Munich chants... by our lot, in the kop but it was shouted down and stopped. People didnt want to sing..it was the youths that were singing it in the smoking area so we can't say we weren't but more were not taking part than taking part and it shut up pretty quick.
Leeds 18, should Lees be loaned ou tagain, maybe someone like Bury or Carlisle Re Connelly, look what happened to Grella.... Yeh, EVERYBODY needs to boycott 1 league game, it needs to be an empty stadium, it would make huge headlines, the media would put a huge amount of pressure on Bates
Boggers, signing Pugh would be a footstep forward at least, I thought Kissa and O'Brien would have made a name for themselves this season, how wrong can I be
I doubt it needs a boycott really, how many people are gonna be at the Pompey game? It'll low. I almost laughed when I saw the advert on the big screen - 'Tickets from ONLY £27'.
LOL ... Indeed we do Elland ... This lot on the wrong side of the M25 can be a bit on the rough side Morning Pags me favourite yorkshire
I should be at the pompey game, (in the wrong end keeping quiet). Damn long way to go for the rest of you.
ok may be a bit harsh mate! but too be honest I feel for both us and Brighton, having to play ManUre and Liverpool, and then again within a couple of days (and thats after playing the saturday before!) 3 games in 6 days is a big ask for both of our clubs, so we may see a sluggish performance from both sides. Morning to you as well Ellandback and Pags too, I think if Lees was to go out on loan, it would need to be a league 1 club challenging for promotion, as that kind of pressure will stand him in good stead. As for a boycott, would be a massive statement of intent, as uncle ken thinks we're bluffing over action, and I feel he would call our bluff, so a boycott may start to get the ball rolling-difficult for fans to stay away tho, and u would feel for those with season tickets who have worked hard to pay for the ridiculous prices, then having to join a boycott to show their support for the clubs long term health!
Badger, read the first line (about sticking together), then saw the rose, and the kissin, and was about to panic fella...
