Maybe it's just all relative to the declining fortunes of the club this season, but I've noticed a drop off in the level of postings on this forum.

It's understandable that forum members want to discuss success rather than some of the rubbish on the pitch we've put up with lately, but I can remember the real crap of the Sam/Ridsdale/early Tan legal era off the pitch stuff that invoked a lot of chat and banter amongst ourselves and visitors alike. That seems to have gone recently and we're left with a bland forum (and club for that matter) to which far fewer members bother to contribute.

I'm trying to do my bit sticking up numerous threads to provoke discussion amongst ourselves, but the lack of response - even if it's to argue the issue rather than discuss it is killing this forum. There are a number of regular contributors - it's obvious who they are - but we need some of our previous posters who I'm sure still read the forum to contribute to get it busy on here again.

Other club's fans would be welcomed, preferably those in our own division to have some relevance, though anyone else with something to say could bring back our lost posters. BTW, I'm not inviting conflict on here - we've been there and done that far too much in the past - but some discussion subjects would be OK.

At the moment, Blue Sheep's prediction league is doing a sterling job in bringing posters and holding it together on here, but all too few of those that enjoy the competition are contributing elswhere on the forum. This is not a criticism in any way, just an attempt to get his board back to life with various subjects. From the owner through to the programme sellers (are there any?), there's got to be something that someone wants to bring up - give it a go!

I expect we'd all ascribe to the opinion that some decent success on the pitch would also have the desired effect, but until then, YOUR FORUM NEEDS YOU!!

With our game coming up in March you will be sick of seeing us, especially if we can keep our run going between now and then. But isn't this been a wc year for egg chasing having some effect on interest in footie generally in the principality?

    I think you're right Sparks.
The bland, nothing, terrible dross being served up on the pitch is reflected in the level of apathy on this forum.

I am one of the posters who haven't had much to say this season because it seems every game is the same.

We play poorly with apparently little commitment by the players and then endure the same old post match rubbish from Mr. Potato Head.

I personally can't wait for this season to end. I never thought I would say anything like that after supporting the Bluebirds for over fifty years. But that is what Slade and this bland, characterless team have caused.

Nah chippy - any egghead activity has no effect on this forum and it's posters.

Most of us are pretty faithful to the round ball game and the drop off in posting can't be accredited to anything egg shaped - except maybe Slade's head......<laugh>

Well Sparks, I've posted for a long time on this and BBC606 site.

To be honest I'm disappointed with the amount of doom & gloom on here, we are going for a unbeaten run of 5 games v Wigan but I bet most on here will say we have a 7 match winless run.

Also I'm still a bit miffed about my answer to this post, being deleted and the vile response from a forum mod.

Thank you for clarifying your position.

"He (Olë) said we had a difference in philosophies. What philosophies? We want to win matches." Tan.

Cardiff does not have a philosophy.

So really you can't expect much more, always said that this forum will slowly fade away unless the jacks are put in their place.

Currently we can't do that much about the way the team are playing and it's pretty easy to see why people aren't replying - it's quite depressing! Think we just have to ride it out, it will get better eventually.

If you look at the larger picture and take the Prediction League as an indicator, over the past two years the numbers have dropped from about 40 to 25 regularly. That's 15 regular posters that have gone and crucially havnt been replaced. We don't seem to be bringing in any new posters and any that do post are gone within a month. No idea how to solve that problem.

hampshire - I sympathise with your stance and I don't think you're alone pal.

If we can all see this through and come out the other side together on here, then maybe a few more postings will help us get there. <ok>

I will still be around and we will come out of this Slade induced coma that we are currently in.

I look forward to enjoying some proper football again. Just don't have any idea how long we will have to wait.

I can only speak for myself Sparky but I am at something of a loss for what to say, as most of you say it before I could comment, or the sharp decline in fortunes has been too much to fathom out.

Plus....although most (if not all of you) know that I don't generally wum, anything negative by an outsider is all too often seen a wum post, which makes it bloody hard this season as there really is so little to say that is positive for Cardiff.

Sparky is the Bluebirds equivalent of Delia!!!!!

    Let's be having you.........

I'm one of those less than regular regulars. A combination of being busy with work and home activities and the general malaise that seems to be sweeping the the board as you correctly observe sparks.

One of the issues is that things are so hard to fathom, it's hard to comment. When there were the MM vs Tan issues there was lots to speculate. Lots of signings fro Ole followed and much to speculate.

Since then the unfathomable approach by Ole led to the 442 low possession approach of Slade. All very negative which has led to negative comments by posters or no comments at all. If a few of the players gave us a spark it would be something, but it all seems very bland fare.

I'll make a resolution to make at least one post a day in a constructive manner to support the cause.

I read the posts but rarely post as I cannot add anything. I rarely see a game anymore and all reports this season don't encourage me to post.

Still chewing that nettle Dai. Need to move on mate.

Taff you are not my mate, far from it.

I know you're a bit slow but it's easy to get into your thick head.

Taff My first move was to give that Swans wum post a bit of my mind and true to like a CARDIFF Mod deleted it, always on the side of the swans, every time I give them back what they post on OUR board good old fishy taff comes to the rescue.

So to my mind you are not worth a jot and defiantly no mate of mine.

If you remember that then maybe we can ignore each other.
