When I feel crap about QPR I tend to keep away from reading anything to do with QPR for a few days. I'm usually too fed up!

Here are some decisions I think were wrong on Saturday.

We all know, Dunne should not play on the left position of the back three. It's more suited to Hill. I'm not sure if Onuoha can do that job.

A player who was perhaps the best of the pre-season, Hoilett, has been completely dumped. New players who haven't earned their place have jumped right in instead. This creates the wrong philosophy at the club. If players jump straight in upon signing, they won't have respect for the team or the other players. They need to earn it. Hoilett was really good in the hole behind the strikers and he said himself that he'd love to play there. Mutch should not be playing there. Mutch should be fighting for a spot in a central midfield position.

And moving on to the centre of midfield, Fer has jumped straight in. It should be Faurlin who starts and Fer and Mutch can fight for a position over Faurlin. The reason why Faurlin should have started both games so far is that he knows the philosophy and he's been playing in the QPR team, in that formation throughout the pre-season. The other two may arguably be better players but they should be worked in slowly as they get to know the system. Basically, they should have a few substitute appearances first.

Remy was crap the other night. He barely made a pass and always looked to take on seven players and score a wonder goal. He didn't read the game and see that he couldn't play that but instead needed to stay up front to hassle the defenders and try to muscle in on them, while the other players work around him. Anyway, I feel that Austin should have started. Again, he has more experience with the other players and knows the system a bit better. Remy and Austin together wouldn't have gone amiss.

I think these were key problems. We needed Hoilett to run at midfielders and defenders and keep possession. He would have worked well with the two wingbacks. Dunne was completely lost (proven by the moment he kicked the bloke in the chest the other day because he's not used to looking over that shoulder). Hill would be more at home there. There was a huge gap on that side. Traore did very well, I thought. He wanted to move forwards, which left a gap that needed someone to cover. Dunne didn't do that well. But Traore did a great job, especially in the second half, of getting back and stopping things. Of course, the tactics had changed by the second half.

I still think we'll be ok but we need to learn fast and stop making some of the old mistakes. The main old mistake is letting new players come into the team as if they own the place. Ease them in while other, more experienced QPR players get us off the mark. Why can't managers sometimes see that certain players are in form!!! If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!!!
