In December LFC play Southampton H Udinese A West Ham A Villa H Fulham H Stoke A QPR A Barring anymore long term injuries to key players (Agger, Reina, Lucas, Johnson, Gerrard & Suarez) - we should win them all. Up the table we go. Simples.
With the exception of Stoke RFC away, the rest of the games are winnable. My big wish is that Robert Hoof is banned from that game, and Tony Pukelis keeps his mouth shut.
Rugby league. We've got a decent record at the Brittania, we won there twice last season, in the Carling Cup and in the FA Cup.
I'm going 9. These are the teams we struggle with the most. Although many of these are away, and away we seem to be just as good as at home.
I certainly would expect some wins out of that lot. Personally I'd rather beat Stoke than Everton or United. They are my least favourite club and can't wait till they get relegated a few to where they belong.
Mystic Meg told me that Downing is going to get a few starts soon and he'll be banging them in for fun. 7 wins from 7
Scratch that, I googled it and it's on the 28th of this month. Last December we had similar fixtures to look forward to and came out abysmally.
Is it really that nice a fixture list? Southampton. should be an easy win. Udinese away is most likely a loss. West Ham are doing well and making things difficult for opposition teams. Villa, they're bollocks. Fulham, they're playing well and scoring goals, considering you can't score goals then they would probably outscore you. Stoke, away from home to Stoke is never easy. QPR, If they've got their act together by then they'll be tough, especially being away from home. The only guaranteed wins are Southampton and Villa. And even football has ways to surprise you.
Two things: 1) Young Boys, who we beat 5-3 away, beat Udinese 3-2 away last night. 2) If Udinese lose in their game against Anzhi, they're out of the competition anyway.
