"Lille's president Michel Seydoux has relented on his prior stance of preventing the player to leave - now, if the club fail to make it to the Champions League, Debuchy will be allowed to go. http://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/newcastle-making-new-bid-lille-fullback-debuchy-3482681 http://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/newcastle-making-new-bid-lille-fullback-debuchy-3482681 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...e-sign-Mathieu-Debuchy-says-Yohan-Cabaye.html I hope we will sign him! Lets hope the Lille lose the second leg of the champions league match! HTL
After watching our first two games i am even more convinced Debuchy will be excellent for us. Much as i like Simmo as a squad player and would like him to sign up to stay i would love to see us get Debuchy. Need one or two others in too really tho.
Chelsea just signed Cesar Azpilicueta from Marseille, young Spanish RB. Signed too late on Friday to play against us.
They also signed Victor Moses after already having Hazard, Mata, Oscar, Malouda, Lampard, Maureles, Ramires, Marin, Benayoun...
Well, first off they're ditching Malouda and Benayoun, plus midfield is a much more congested area. A club can get by with 2 RB's but needs at least 5 or 6 potential CM's, especially Chelseas formation. I can't see them going for him.
I hope you are right. Maybe I should put a bet on him going to Chelsea, then we are guaranteed he won't go there
Perch has really asked a serious question on centre backs. His emergence as a quality option has dampened down the need we had when he came in last season. We looked terrible at times. People forget though we had a freak situation where Colo, Saylor and Williamson were injured. That was the rocky spell. Ideally we will replace Williamson with a more athletic option but there is no doubt that Perchino has eased the burden with his progress.
According to France Football (usually fairly reliable) Real Madrid have stepped into the Debuchy chase. Rough translation for those who don't speak French. According to our sources, Real Madrid have made Matthieu Debuchy their number 1 target at right back. Not satisfied with Arbeloa's performances, the management at Madrid have accelerated their pursuit of the French international, under contract with Lille until 2015. They will have to put an offer of about 12 million Euros on the table if they hope to snatch him from the Northern club. Debuchy, who has made his desire to leave clear this summer, wouldn't refuse the challenge of playing for Madrid, even though he has always repeated that he would prefer to play in the Premier League. Currently out with a heel injury, the player isn't part of the group chosen by Rudi Garcia for the play off of the Champions League against Copenhagen on Wednesday. Since he didn't play in the first leg either (0-1), he would still be eligible to play in this competition with another club. Not sure how true/false any of it is, but thought I'd put it out there.
