Steve u r great, it only took u 13 games to realise that you need to play your best player in their best position. Any lesser known manager would have taken a number of years to realise that Eze should not play in right midfield but in a no.10 role. I love you for your amazing foresight in changing this, and oh my god we have wingers in our squad which u clearly noted and got them out of bed to play last week. Steve u r a footballing genius to make these radical changes to our team, and I can't wait to see your next team selection for Villa maybe you are actually intelligent enough to pick a team that every single Qpr fan knows what is our best starting 11. Alternatively let's go back to playing Eze at right midfield u f***ing moron
OP is a bit harsh but I actually agree with the main sentiment... it took him a bloody while. And the funny thing is, he seemed to figure out the best formation and then dump it only to realise it worked and go back to it. He seems to have gotten us to a good, competitive level now so... I am happy with the way things are right now but I haven't got my hopes fully up yet and I half or quarter expect a slump before long.
Steve Well done for getting in some excellent loan signings once you realised what you had to work with wasn’t enough Well done for making a solid CB pairing from Lynch and a slow BFG 2 Well done for so many clean sheets Well done for so many away wins Decent choice of captain Well done for making the goalie question go away Well done for not trying to play too much out of the back once you realised we couldn’t Just now work out how to get Hall and Furlong back in the team without disrupting things Work out a way to get BOS on the bench with some game time Well done for getting genuine competition for places across most positions Well done for keeping Eze on the pitch as much as possible when sometimes his play could warrant a substitution I’m sure the more he plays the quicker he gets even better Well done for keeping Hemed and Wells happy to date Well done for getting Luongo and Freeman going again Time we sang a little song for you tonight though I fear a little dip in play is coming!
Shame I still. Can’t stand to watch you being interviewed We’ve been to the disco We’ve danced with our grandma And we’ve got some points on the board
Well I am delighted the way things have changed around and yes playing Eze wide does not work (and others). However, come on!!!!!! after WBA and BC I didn't think we would get another point!!!!!!.......this is marvellous, amazing and we must enjoy. Yes, we are QPR fans and we know something will go wrong and probably stay wrong for a while.....but this is the happiest I have been with my team for quite a while. BTW you can play the players in their correct positions but it does not mean they will play well and win so well done Steve, his coaches and the players. P.s he is boring though
There's more than one Yorkie - don't confuse us please. As I joined the forum marginally earlier that must make me 'Mark One' or Tweedle Dee.
No worries at all. You won't go into my little black book. Although it has to be said, while I might have put I differently he does have a point. For me Steve Mac was a questionable appointment. I don't know whether, like me, Y-Rs is an immigrant to God's own county but one thing I've learned in my ten years up here is that Yorkshire folk do enjoy the moment but don't get carried away in the euphoria of a few good weeks. Most Leeds fans I know are looking to getting to 50 points in spite of their current success and anything else is a bonus for them. Barely three weeks ago the rest of the Board was voicing the same sentiments about our beloved leader that Y-Rs has just voiced so eloquently. When we've got to 50 points in the bag, I' m sure we will both be hoping to reach the next milestone!
I don’t like the bloke and didn’t rate him as a manager before he came here as I’m sure 95% of QPR fans didn’t. But after an appalling start we have 20 points from 10 games. Mostly against some truly dreadful sides but I don’t remember many runs like that in my 24 years of support. Tuesday was really good and even if we lose tonight we are in a healthier place than I could have dreamed of.
Apologies to all it was. Just gutted that we are a better team than most on here think, shouldn't have taken so long for Steve to work that out.
No worries mate, we all have our doubts about him, two or three losses and the lynch mob will return...
