A Lambert and Coyle head to head,
Two Scots who at least speak the same
And who´d enjoy a footballing spread,
We´ll be coming with no fear at all
For in most of this year´s games away,
We´ll just be expected to fall
Irrespective of how we might play,
And though we know, at the Reebok
Is where most of your points will come,
It may not be that great a shock
If we should come there and take one,
At Wigan we managed the feat
And at Chelsea we almost did too,
So we´ll be out for a repeat
And a draw, would certainly do,
But I´m sure you´re raring to go
After Man. U came passing your way,
And no-one is more hurt, we know
Than when beaten by five on the day,
But we too felt somewhat aggrieved
After losing at home to West Brom,
We had hoped with what we´d achieved
So far, that a win we´d take from,
That game, but it wasn´t to be
We´re learning, but in a hard way,
That giving teams a goal for free
Is just not the right way to play,
So expect us to be feeling mean
No Christmas gifts early, this time,
And the longer we can keep a clean
Sheet, the longer us here will be fine,
I hope we get served up a feast
So Delia herself would be proud,
And if we should return back east
With the points, well we´d all be wowed.

I'm now at the stage where, generally, I'm pleased and proud of the way our team has shown the world it can compete in this league, and as soon as the tide turns and we start getting the rub of the green, we'll start to climb up to safety
