For example, I know Cunningham is a LB, Flint is a CH and even Parish - I know he's a keeper.

But please tell me W T F is Wagstaffe.

You signed the t**t, now tell me what he does.

As for the game today - Sheff Utd are as bad as we've seen but I'm trying to remember ONE City shot on target.
We were back to our 2mph game today and then guess what we launch it to Baldock FFS.

    I despair.

Bit harsh on Waggy there RP. He's grown on me, He gives 100% and when were actually playing attacking football he gives us another option. My bone to pick with SOD is our lack of talented strikers. We need another one in ASAP

Agreed, I would love to know what he does.. does he beat a man? Nope, does he ever put a cross in? Nope.. Yep he runs around a lot but then so do all the other players

I have seen Wagstaff enough times to wonder what some fans see in him. Maybe I am watching the wrong games, but he hasn't impressed me. Jury is still out

I'd love to know if our famous scouting system actually watch these players we're buying...

How about asking the entire lot to give 100% or is that not in any of their contracts? Frankly the excuses and the "we will get better with time" brigade are running out of time themselves. The next visitor is high flying Leyton Orient and we will probably beat them based on our Jekyll and Hyde performances, but I won't hold my breath. Please tell me what you would do if we lose on Tuesday - sack the entire team or just go for the usual suspect?

The whole scenario is becoming more of a joke by the day and I don't see any real moves to sort it out and not long from now it will be too late.

Message to answer your question lan logger. I think our mentality is to bring in as many players as possible, useless or not, so we can ramp up the wage bill again and hope that strength in numbers will save us from a fate worse than death. Hang on a minute we have tried that before and it didn't work did it?

Stupidity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome. DAH!

Bit harsh on Wagstaff - he's a wide right player, not an out and out winger.

I think he's done ok without being great

'he's a wide right player, not an out and out winger'

    You don't say.
Thank you for this illuminating comment.
FFS - Tell me what he does.

'Yep he runs around a lot' - So does Mo Farah.

Apologies - I obviously did not put it simple enough for you to understand - or maybe when someone has such a myopic view they choose not to?

My point is that he's not playing as a winger but is playing right side of midfield. If ever you have played the game you would know there is a difference.

    Oh - and he's scored 4 goals

Obviously Wagstaff the latest scapegoat - all you need to do now is start booing him to totally erode his confidence

Rather than taking cheap shots at players have a look at the system in which he is being asked to play.

Both Bryan and Wagstaff appeared more effective when they were playing wider.

'do now is start booing him' - Not sure he could hear on here.
Would never boo a red shirt.

'Bryan and Wagstaff appeared more effective when they were playing wider'

Bryan is a far far better wide player than Wagstaffe.
Can't believe you have them in the same sentence.
Playing Wagstaffe wider as you suggest would make him even more less effective, he wouldn't go by my mother.
If he has anything going for him is that he turns up in the box occasionally (not enough) to good effect.
As yesterday when Baldock should have passed and not hit their keeper.

Watch Tuesday - he runs to close down but always stops 3 yards short with his back turned.
    Drives me nuts.

    PS - He'll get score a hat-trick now <laugh>

    Let's hope so! <laugh>

Absolutely agree that Bryan is a better player and he will go on to have a brilliant career whereas Wagstaff is prob a League 1 player at best - my issue with Wagstaff is that he lacks pace, but then that's an issue throughout the whole team
