Heard your interview on the radio on the way home and in general, agreed with most of what you said. Also don't take much issue with my way or the highway approach BUT to adopt a policy like that, you need to be successful so, fingers crossed for next year...

HOWEVER, as several fans stated on the phone-in, it is pretty bad policy to completely ignore the fans when 100's (and in the final day of the season, it will be 1000's) wait behind after the game to applaud the players.

By all means, do the warm down but let them do this by going round the pitch and have the de-brief after. If nothing else, have a little flexibility for this game or you will not endear yourself to the fanbase. Mr Lansdown may pay your wages but we are the club so show a little respect...

Also, as a lifelong, die hard season ticket and shareholder, I actually found it quite funny that the game ended to the sounds lf "always look on the bright side". Most of the fans have accepted the relegation in a dignified manner after all, we are so far adrift we needed snookers so if we can't poke a bit of fun at ourselves, then things are pretty grim

    Thank you for listening...

Apparently he was incensed by the song being played on the tannoy and wanted to tell the players that it wasnt acceptable to 'always look on the bright side of life', when we have just been relegated. Don't blame him. Poor defending for the goal again.

"Poor defending for the goal again"

Isn't he the one who said we didn't need any defenders in?

    Well on the plus side he has organised and motivated the players to give a decent performance in home games, sadly we havent got the quality to stay in this division, if we had we would easily have beaten sheff wed, bolton and birmingham, however;
On the negitive side he obviously has no sense of humour at all, is an interviewers nightmare (sniffs and all), doesnt seem capible of understanding what the fans appreciate, little appreciation of the fans (east end were fantastic last night), his away tactics, of trying not to lose rather than trying to win, have been a disaster, But if he gets us promoted next season who cares.
And, why bring howard in if you are not going to play him? surely he should have played instead of killkenny last night, after all we had nothing to lose.
Looking forward to playing shrewsbury next season but doubt if SOD enjoyed the song, hope the kids do well but i`m concerned that they may get beat up playing in that division, we need a few senior players who can look after them, problem is dont think we have any.

After a promising start under SOD, recent results and performances, especially at home and particularly away, have sealed our fate. I also haven't liked a lot of what's been said or the negative way in which we've played away from Bristol

All of this needs to be addressed urgently over the Summer so that for once we are properly physically and mentally prepared for a new season, because we've been slow starters for way too many years and we now have the mental barrier of a lower division too. We wont win every game and will have to grind out results.

I've always rated SOD, and as an Ipswich fan I wanted him to join us on the recent occasions when we have been on the lookout for a new manager. Fortunately for us Mick McCarthy has performed heroics given we were 7 points adrift of safety and 3 behind your lot when he took over but I suppose SOD had a trickier job on with you.

I would say that League 1 is SOD's bread and butter and he'll get you competitive next season in a league that possibly even more barmy than the championship <yikes>

Good luck anyway, I'm still to visit Bristol as a visiting supporter so hopefully you'll be championship bound soon so I can put that right!

Not sure about that! at this rate 60 points might not even confirm your survival in the champ, crazy.

It sounds silly but I think its the hardest league in the world, By that I mean if you look at the big leagues, Prem for example, You know that only 15 teams wont win the league before a balls kicked, In the championship you could say any of the 24 teams could be promoted. A very competitive and very hard league to get out of.

To be honest the standard of the Championship this year has been pretty poor and I can't honestly see Cardiff, Hull and whoever else survive more than 1 season in the Premiership. Not sour grapes and I am the first to acknowledge how poor we have been and thank **** that Mick came in when he did. If Cardiff are that good how come Peterborough turned them over both home and away! As far as overall quality goes its been very poor but the fact remains that it is the hardest league to get promoted from as we should know having been 11 years in the CCC! <yikes>

Both Manchester United B and Udinese B have performed better than their budgets this year. Clubs like us and Barnsley, with financial strictures in place, and a very likely relegation, have found it hard to bring in players.

@Banksy : SoD said he would if they were better AND THEY WOULD COME. We know from the papers and players own statements that, with us being Lg1 bound, they did not want to come. So dont go blaming him for us not having defenders. Remember the guys he put his faith in kept 3 clean sheets out of 4 at one point. Something we had not done at all up to him joining.

Who's 'they' that did not want to come?

I didn't see us rumoured to be in for anyone?
