    Dear Lee,

May I first say that I hope your forthcoming case goes well. However, you may have another charge to answer.

On Saturday 2nd April at approximately 16:37 you are charged with the offence of causing a fan of Southampton FC (hereinafter known as The Saints) a bloody knee, cricked back and loss of voice for 1 day. The said fan of the Saints saw you score the winner after being 2-0 down only 15 minutes earlier and banged his knee on the chair in front at St Mary's stadium. Once he was up, the said fan proceeded to yell for over a minute and picked up his friend's 11 year old child in the air.

How do you plead Mr Barnard?

Exactly - at 2-0 down I was totally p****ed off. I wanted to go home and the dream was over. 15-20 minutes later the world was a happier place! NO OTHER sport can do that to you.

COYR and give me more bruises in the next 9 games!

My wife thought it was heaven that I could not speak and would not take the shaking of the head as an answer when asking if she was OK to buy things. It cost me a fortune!!!! <laugh>

I must admit when the second goal went in I sat down and had a bit of a sulk! My mates soon started abusing me for having no faith, guess I was very pleased with the "I told you so's" for once! :)

    Good oneno.7

KSFC, own up, it was you who tossed your out of date cheddars all over Young Nigel two rows in front of us, when you jumped out of your seat, not once but three times!!!

Must say, there' an awful lot of bloodiness on this thread.

Fair point hoadie, I was very impressed with my fellow saints fans for keeping up the atmosphere sat even when the second went in. I will have more faith next time! Its the natural pessimist within me. Even at 4-0 up at wembley last season I still had a nagging feeling we could throw it all away!
