An excellent article and you all saw what Bradford did to the Scum, it was no fluke. No fear, attack the best form of defence, will Harry get it? Don't be silly. In a way it was similar, as a fan, to our win at Wembley, against all odds. 'Lesser' clubs live for days like this when you can have that delicious moment of glory and you remember it for a lifetime. It was an object lesson in how to play away but Bradford had one big advantage over us, they could actually string more than three passes together, until we can do that throughout a game we won't be winning anywhere soon...
Typical Scum, attacking a man and wife for being BC supporters (see comments). They would never understand how these two were feeling because they will never experience anything like it themselves. Scum then, scum now.
You missed a bit out Totallyqpr, it should read.................. Scum then, Scum now and Scum always !!!!!!!
I was going to make the same point. My overwhelming feeling (apart from the sheer delight) that the owners and fans of clubs owned by billionaires had seen their expensively assembled teams humiliated was one of embarrassment. Precisely because the underdogs (all of them) showed precisely the qualities that both managers since Warnock, especially Redknapp has managed to stifle. We don't attack until we have to away from home. We then don't want to shoot for fear of missing. Only one player will have a go. We don't snap and harry the oppo to get the ball back. Of course there are bloody risks. But the answer is to put the ball in the net and keep trying to do so. Our passing has little purpose apart from keeping the ball and the player refusing to take responsibility to do something with it. Our attitude is dictated by fear of failure. Theirs was to go for it - after all what was the worst that could happen. They might lose? Only minor point I would disagree with is it was in no way similar to our win against Derby. We won because we defended solidly for 90 minutes, rode our luck, Green and Dunne had the games of their lives and eventually on the stroke of full time we decided to have a go. Unlike Bradford, we did not deserve to win - unlike Bradford, on paper at least, it was always going to be an evenly matched contest
I agree entirely, my point of comparison was the feeling you get, as a 'smaller' club, when you actually win something, money couldn't buy it mainly because it happens so rarely...
