France
I read that Sweden is the best place in the world to live (truly.. not taking the piss).

Can you tell us the best five things about Sweden?

Hahaha :)

1: The girls/women
2: The nature
3: The Swedish summer (when it aint raining)
4: The Swedish winter (if you like freezing your ass of during 4-5 months)
5: The food culture is pretty good
+ Free healthcare...

Worst things

1: Expensive
2: You can only buy alcohol at one special place around Swedens cities (Systembolaget).
Check wikipedia, I am horrible at describing things

Hmm, that's about it.

Thinking seriously of moving there. Where is the best place....what's the average house price?

I am retired (recently). I like the idea of a freindly society which values the open air and personal freedom.

Would be ok living in a city though.

Happy in France at the moment, but the attitude of the french is often appalling, and their false politeness can be irritating.

Sweden sounds great!

I went to Sweden once. Was on holiday in Denmark and got the ferry from Helsingør to Helsingborg and drove along the Skane coast to a beach near Angelholm.

It was my first experience of topless Swedish sunbathing!!

I would probably recommend you to look for a place outside a medium large city in southern Sweden, Kalmar, Varberg, Borås, Halmstad, Falkenberg or something like that.

Swedes are in general very kind towards foreigners and most of us speak very good English.

Wasn't to bad was it? ;) Skåne is a pretty nice place, but I wouldn't the larger cities (Malmö and Helsingborg), high crime rate due to it's close connection to the "mainland" in the rest of Europe.

Where in France? I'm in Lyon but it's too far from the sea..

Febbos,

In response to an earlier question, I speak pretty decent French & have no problems getting by unless we're talking deeply technical or philisophical types of stuff.
