Now I know that this thinking is wishful
As we´re probably one of those teams,
Who could well end up with a dishful
When we visit your Theatre of Dreams,
But should you be slightly off-colour
For once, this coming Saturday,
And your exciting play, be duller
It would help us in every way,
And we all know football is like that
Sometimes, or none of us would go,
Those with little hope often fight back
And put on a really good show,
And anyway, better and greater
Teams already have fallen foul,
Of your team of world-class creators
And have left with a groan and a scowl,
So pardon me if I feel chirpy
At the prospect of what now ensues,
And don´t think I´m trying to be shirty
We just know we´ve got nothing to lose,
And often that puts all the pressure
On those who´re expected to win,
And could even make them feel less sure
If the goals don´t begin to go in,
And although you did make those Swiss roll
In your Champions League game last night,
They came back strong and almost stole
3 points, after giving you a fright,
So if we should give you the odd shock
I hope old Sir Alex won´t pout,
Considering that it´s a fellow Scot
Who´s lifted us up hereabouts,
I guess you´ve forgotten how much buzz
It gives, to be new in this league,
Well, each week adrenalin lifts us
So there´s no chance to feel fatigue,
So with that in mind, if we´re coping
With your lot, I hope that our crew,
Will get chances, and I´ll be hoping
We´re not also gunned down 8 - 2.

Yours excitedly, though apprehensively,

I remember it well super, I also happen to remember, a few years before that, a 2 -1 win at Old Trafford, where a certain Mike Phelan hit a cracker. It´s those sort of days that stick in the memory. <cool>

Nice one RBF. Really enjoyed it.

I remember that day well Super. And it was made all the better when Darren Huckerby, not only tackled, but also won the ball cleanly from Ronaldo.

Very good OP.It should be an open game much like last night and hopefuly one of Hernandez or Rooney should return to partner Welbeck.

Good luck for the season, hope yous stay up.

I seem to remember Rooney being put on his arse just before the 2nd , and still sitting there complaining when Leon bagged that volley.....Fergy refused to give an interview and the fallout from that at Man U was imense..

<cheers> Areba, an open game would certainly suit us, just hope we´re not too open. The longer we can hang in there the happier we´ll be, and the odd miracle does occasionally happen, even at Old Trafford. :)

I remember that game well. The noise towards the end was immense, don't think Carrow Road has ever been louder.

It was Rooney who gave away the freekick for the first goal and was tackled by Safri for the second.

I can also picture Ferdinand saying 'but I was told that there had to be two on Huckerby' as an excuse for the second goal.

That game effectively ended Man United's fading hopes of winning the title.
