Not happy. But nothing we can do about it. I'd start both, but not as a CB partnership. Neil and McNally failed big time. Not the players fault. We have to support them. We wont buy a CB in Jan. We needed one the last 4 seasons and have done F all to get one in. So to get one in Jan when prices are much inflated....Not gonna happen.
To those that think it's AN and/or DM's fault that the defence has not been strengthened, what do you suggest they should have done? Identify a target then hold a gun to his head and force them to come to Norwich at a wage we can afford?
True - but the positioning has needed strengthening for 4 years or more - are we saying that for "fear of upsetting the balance in the dressing room" we will never buy another CB in the immediate future whether we can afford it or not ?
To be honest Dave I'm not sure the dressing room is as utopian as we think it is anyway. We needed a centre back but if none wanted to come to Norwich and fight then ****'em, don't need them. I don't think Rusty is a good enough centre back but hey, he wears the shirt and fights like **** every time he wears it so he has my backing. All the boys do. We've got what we've got and it's time for all the pointless bickering to end. The lads have to roll their sleeves up and get on with it now. With the manager we've got we have a great chance so let's stop all this blame game and just get on with supporting the team shall we? Life's full of, could of, should of....... Let's just see how it pans out. As for McNally, he has his faults but let's not forget where we were in 2010....almost bust. I trust him and the manager. Let's not turn the tide.
