Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce has ruled out the option of either DeAndre Yedlin or Ola Toivonen ending their loans early. Both players are on deals that run until the end of the season but have not featured much for the first team. “I don't think there's any leverage (to end the loans early)," Allardyce is quoted as saying by the Sunderland Echo. “Their deals are for one season. We need a squad and players who might have to play. “If we got rid of DeAndre, for example, we'd need a new right-back, which might not be a wise thing to do at this stage. “We've had to shop very carefully in this window, both with who we get out and who we bring in." - See more at: http://www.tribalfootball.com/artic...ign=Feed-Latest+Articles#sthash.bd3Sja4N.dpuf
Yedlin is OK going forward but poor defensively, if only we had had more faith in the Egyptian Beckham, along with PVA we would have a cracking pair of wing backs to play ahead of a back three. Even now yedlin might do a job short term who knows, Toi is surplus to requirements and I will be surprised if he features at all tbh.
suppose Sam is looking at injuries as well, we have to have a few half decent backups, things are looking a lot better now though
They're not great but if they are better than the people behind them in the queue and at least similar to others you could bring in then you're better off with the people you have and hoping they'll settle better in the team/squad. Sam is, once again, correct. It's not always pretty but he's giving you as good a chance as anyone of surviving and progressing.
