Gillingham have sent 2nd year pros Dean Rance and Connor Essam out on loan for a month to Bishop Stortford on month loan deals, I think this is great as they would not get in the team and our still young so they need to get some first team experience under their belts as this will give them a chance of getting in the team in the future as they are not ready at the moment. With no reserve league this season and only a few games here and there against other teams that are in no fixed reserve league it is going to be a tough time for players not in the team as they may get little playing time or even none so loaning out is the best option in my eyes. Also with the new rule making you name just five players on a bench is going to mean they have less chance of getting in the team as they may of only been like 7th of 8th choice for the bench but with only having to name 5 on the bench that means that they would only get little time on the bench if players get injured or even no time so it is a tough time for players like Rance and Essam and there fellow young players. http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/11082011/63/gills-duo-join-bishops-stortford.html Discuss below what you think about these 2 going out on loan and what you think about Gillingham having no fixed reserve league, will it effect the players on the fringe of first team or will it gives the players a bigger boast to get in the team as they may not want to be at the club to play no games so they will put more effort into there games if they play, have your say below.
think we've missed a trick here as although we were supposedly gonna have a reduced squad we always had a lot of youngsters coming through this and next year and a few players coming back from a season or more of injury so would have been a great way to test them out and keep them match fit. espically now you can only name 5 (4 outfield gen) subs
