This might have been mentioned elsewhere but the latest episode of the 1904 Club podcast is an interview with Dean Holden. A good listen and gives an insight into what's going on behind the scenes and his experiences. He sounds like he's in and around the players a lot and is driving the togetherness and standards. The kind of character we've needed. Hope it works out for him because he sounds like he's bought into it.

I thought it interesting that he looks at the defensive side of things even when in possession. If we lose the ball are we set to defend the counter.

I thought our defensive shape yesterday was outstanding. We have relied on more last ditch defending in the past but just seemed to have a man in the right place for most of the game - I imagine this has Holdens fingerprints all over it.
