Oh well that is me blown out of the water Heard that Messi wants to come to best place in the prem for football and doesn't want paying (something to do with tax)
Man.Utd. have offered £100,000.00,rising to £400,000.00,for Newport County's 17 year old central defender,Regan Poole. If he's that promising a player, how come we didn't grab him?
Why are you assuming he wanted to go...? source ...Because i was told that monk wants him to play and a loan move is the best way forward as his games will be very limited this season.....Its a cracking decision by monk for us and dyer.....
why grab a player because MU wants him ??? He will have to be the right player in the first instance and secondly we do things our way and not MU way......
Clearly you have missed the point. It would have been preferable had you not replied to it. How do you know he wouldn't suit The Swans'? You don't. You probably have never heard of him. If a team of Utd's standing thinks he's worth a punt, then little old Swansea should get their act together, and have a look. Oh,and Man Utd's way has served them pretty well down the years.
How do you know we have not looked at him and is deemed not our type of player.......just because MU likes him dont make him good for our system does it......we have closer ties with Newport so would know all about him.....
Well, there was nothing in the press about it,and he only came to my attention when Hull put a bid in for him. Utd. have gazumped them. We should have close ties with Newport, and perhaps we could loan a few youngsters to them. Of course,he may have been scouted, and dismissed, but we wouldn't necessarily be made aware of it. However,to repeat myself,Utd must see something in him,and their opinion would trump yours.
Don't be so stupid. Monk is the boss and he has obviously discussed the situation with dyer Monk wont let him go out on loan if he cant be spared and its a masterstroke for the club and dyer.
Crack on you if you think that sending a capable player to a rival club strengthening thier squad is a cracking bit of business. One injury and we start to look a bit light in that position. Hope it's a decision we don't regret like ki a few seasons ago
Big mistake if you ask me, Dyer is one of the best Wingers in the country, wasn't long ago he was being linked with an England call up, Monk must be on Prozac today, or is Huw cutting the wage bill due to Michu?
My contact told me about the youngster going out this morning - was Dyer's loan something that only arose during the course of today?
I agree we need to keep Dyer as a squad player, but for the last year he's looked very ropey when he's come on. He may have been, but he is no longer "one of the best wingers in the country". There was a story in one of the papers at the weekend where Dyer had said he has found it hard to spend so much time on the bench. Maybe Monk has spoken to him and without the guarantee of regular football, advised him to look at a season away from here. Dyer won't share the philosophy of needing to maintain a robust squad if it means warming the bench.
It was nice to have a window where we didn't lose some of our best players or even manager ! Dyer the form hes been in is a small sacrifice I recon and it's just a loan at the moment so no big deal ?
It's all very well for Dyer not to be happy warming the bench but he had performed when called upon we wouldn't have come to this. Not sure what's happened to him but he's a shadow of the player that helped bring us into this division. Someone said they'd rather have lost Routledge. I wouldn't.
Well each to there own, even a poor Dyer is streets ahead of our current Routledge, who offers zilch............
Dyer has played one game in the cup and thats it, he is way down the pecking order and a loan spell will not only do him well but the club also. remember we have not sold him but lent him out and he is still very much part of the swans as anyone but further down the pecking order that apart from cup games is unlikely to figure at all in the league this season. If he can shine at Leicester then that will do his flagging career a powerful amount of good that may push him up the pecking order for next season. It's a good deal all around and dyer is very keen......This wont hinder us one bit as dyer was not going to play anyway so what is the problem.....monk would not let him go on loan otherwise.....
If Dyer does well at Leicester this season he will more than likely stay at Leicester. As even Dyer at his best will still be second choice to Ayew and Montero. We will sell if his departure this season doesn't affect us and he wont want to return if he ends up as first choice at Leicester by seasons end
