Richards only joined Aston Villa last summer but Sam Allardyce wants to bring him to the Stadium Of Light on deadline day to help bolster his club's survival prospects, having found it difficult to do a deal for Mathieu Debuchy from Arsenal. Villa, however, are reluctant to do business with their rivals, particularly at this late stage of the window but Sunderland would be ready to move if they are given any encouragement. please log in to view this image +3 Micah Richards (left) is wanted by Sunderland as they battle to avoid relegation please log in to view this image +3 The Aston Villa captain only joined the club in June 2015 signing a four-year contract RELATED ARTICLES Previous 1 Next please log in to view this image Aston Villa 0-4 Manchester City: Kelechi Iheanacho scores... please log in to view this image Aston Villa boss Remi Garde hit with more transfer... please log in to view this image Philippe Senderos joins Swiss side Grasshoppers after Aston... please log in to view this image Fabian Delph has last laugh against former club as... SHARE THIS ARTICLE Share The Black Cats have previously expressed interest in the 27-year-old, under then manager Gus Poyet, who felt the Birmingham-born player's versatility could prove useful. The former Manchester City defender, who won the Premier League in 2012, joined Aston Villa in June 2015 on a four-year contract, having spent the previous season on loan at Italian side Fiorentina. Richards, who has won 13 England caps, was appointed Villa captain and despite his commitment to the cause, he has been unable to steer the club away from the foot of the table.
I'm not keen on Richards I think both O'Shea and Brown are better. If it's for RB then he's not much cop there.

Pop these up from the Jan thread as they qualify I reckon It's been very busy in the North East over the final days of the transfer window, with Sunderland and Newcastle looking to recruit talent to help them fight each other in a relegation battle. Both clubs are prepared to do what it takes to stay in the Premier League this season, and the recruitment looks like it's set to continue into the final day of the transfer window. Sunderland, just like their neighbours, have stepped up a recruitment system in France and that's seen incomings already during the current window. There's one who Sunderland are still eyeing, and that's Chiekh N'Doye of Angers. The club captain has said he's willing to stay with Angers for the rest of the season, but that hasn't stopped interest, and Sunderland sent a representative to watch him last night against Monaco, according to French newspaper L'Equipe. N'Doye scored 2 goals, taking his tally for the season to 8, and Angers beat Monaco 3-0.
Might have legs, rumours are that English clubs are circling Michy Batshuayi, if they're weighing up a striker it could be a replacement for him. Can't see Angers selling anybody, they're flying this season and are in the mix for the 2nd/3rd place for a CL spot. They'd be crazy to sell a goal scorer at this stage.

I don't like ketchup much to be honest, but was just making a point that they've given him a full bowl of it!
He maybe one of those ketchup fiends that carry a bottle of it when visiting the local kennels. Zip, lob, squirt, lick, zip.
Breaking news; I have just passed Hazard northbound on the A1 just South of Darlo It was a broken down lorry
Just a thought, any deal concluded after 12 noon then that player will not be able to play tomorrow evening.
Metro and the Chronicle are both reporting that Bournemouth are going to offer us £5m for Defoe! Allardyce, earlier this month said it would have to be a massive amount to let him go - guess £5m is a massive amount compared to the £9m we just spent on Khazri or the £21m offered by bthe mags for Berahino!! No idea how some of this ****e makes the press!
