This might be a bit of a coincidence but my City supporting scumbag friend who I had a pint with last night, who as far as I'm aware has no inside info said that he'd heard a rumour that Gareth Barry was on his way out at City, depending on the arrival of Daniele De Rossi. They have already offloaded De Jong so I'm not sure it's believable at all anyway but I'm fairly sure O'Neill would welcome the chance to work with brown noser Barry again. I'll wrap this up by reiterating he is most likely full of sh!t and I'll put it down to a bit of wishful thinking on his part. No excitement for United on transfer deadline days, it's been a while since we were involved in anything significant on deadline day, I've forgotten what it feels like.
Dempsey to Villa, puts him out of the equation at Sunderland so a new LB is our main option or perm one from the following Jenas, Rose, Berbatov, Milner, Barry or are we still likely to pull off another big marquee signing Van Der Vart maybe now that would be a coup and a half
Paul lambert at villa says he's not aware of any deal for Clint Dempsey according to one of the blokes I work with.. Could it be that there's some gamesmanship going on to try and force a bidding war for him?
Fulham accepted bid, doesnt say he is going. It now puts pressure on those who are interested but have not bid to do so. Still think there is more in this. Probably depends which American owner of the three clubs interested has the best pulling power
