Villa are rumoured to be close to signing Ritchie De Laet for £2.5M

Very good business for all involved. Be a very good player for us but the time is right for him to move on

Yep, good luck to him. We got a good price and he moves to a big club where he'll be starting every week.

He's one of the unlucky ones who couldn't keep up with our progression.

Really good Championship player, he was very underrated in our promotion season, but that's very much his level unfortunately. Hopefully he starts regularly for Villa, and pleased we've got a good price for him. Will always remember his goal against Derby very fondly, not many full-backs would have been able to do that. Hope he does well for them, and it frees us up to get a replacement.

Unfortunately hasn't progressed as well as others so a move is the best around. Played well for us when we were in the Championship & so good luck to him.

Feel a bit sorry for him that it's Villa though.

He is a huge threat in the championship - by far and away the best RB in that league in our promotion season. I still feel he is an adequate back up but hey ho.

Villa though? Good luck to him - I can't tell yet whether they are a threat or a sinking ship

How times have changed! use to be Villa poaching all our top players. Derby must have a good RB
thought Nigel would have had him.

Sounds like the end for that tw*t Hutton at Villa then. Wish De Laet well, good player for us.

That's a quality goal-line clearance tbf, didn't know he had that in him!

Did the same for us at least once in our championship winning season - has a good turn of pace.

I remember one match where Schlupp did the impossible, he made Hutton look good

Not surprising that Mboro are looking for better. Just goes to show his level when promoted clubs hes been with arent interested in signing him permanently.
