It was at this time last year that we played Portsmouth in the league cup.
Having despatched our South coast opponents we returned to Portsmouth for a televised league match which as we all know finished in a 6-1 defeat.
I personally thought the game hinged on the unjust sending off off vitor followed by the freak goal from the free kick but whatever your view we got stuffed.
so in the coming week we have an away tie in the league cup against cardiff followed on sunday by a televised league match.
what do we think?
repeat? reverse? or will we kick ass twice?
i personally dont think lightning strikes twice so i take our b team to scrape through and a great battling foxes win in the league match.
am i a deluded fool or can this happen?

 

It was about this time 2 seasons ago.

We beat Reading away. Scored a header then had to deal with waves of pressure.

Then we went to QPR and won 2-1 with one of the best away performances I have seen in a long while.

Why can't that happen again

We don't have Morrison at the back this time so we've got a chance.

I'm not bothered about the cup game (though it'd be nice to win of course) but if we get something from the next 2 league games it might be the start of some real consistency.

Yeah this time last year was the start of the end for Sousa. We beat Pompey pretty easily in the cup with our second string against the first team as they didnt have enough numbers to change the team around. Then we all expected the win against Pompey on the friday but instead self-destructed. Morrison gave away a stupid peno, King had a perfect goal disallowed and Vitor got harshly sent off and then we seemed to give up

 

When I saw the title I thought that it was the name of some random Dutch guy that Sven was interested in signing!
