QPR ready to agree £7m De Guzman deal QPR look likely to sign Dutch midfielder Jonathan de Guzman after telling Villarreal they are ready to meet the asking price. The Spanish club have indicated they want £7m, which appears to have scuppered Swansea’s chances of signing him. De Guzman, 26, has spent the last two seasons on loan with the Welsh club and Rangers boss Harry Redknapp was alerted to his potential availability after Swansea were unable to agree a deal. Would be a great signing personally. Having seen him play for Swansea I think he could be what we are missing in midfield - a creative influence and someone who is willing to run at players with the ball. 7 million seems a fair price tbh.

7mill would seem good business in today's market. But the pleasure of pilfering one of Swansea's better players: priceless
He didn't play in their friendly yesterday and they have a lot of injuries although they did play Villareal

The 26-year-old, who represented his country at this summer's World Cup, is currently back with parent club Villarreal following a loan spell with Swansea City last season. Swans boss Garry Monk recently admitted that he did not expect De Guzman to re-sign with the Welsh club this summer. According to Sky Sports News, that is indeed the case, with QPR closing in on a move for the midfielder. De Guzman has 13 international caps to his name.
Would be a good signing and complete the midfield......now just need a striker unless Remy has committed himself until January at least.....
The question is, will it be on Wednesday or Thursday or will there be a sneaky tweet on Tuesday? 12 noon on Friday is rapidly approaching.
Has now been confirmed as a Napoli player on a 4 year deal. So that can be crossed off, if it wasn't already!
