The circus continues.

Personally, I can't see how a manager CAN keep his job after losing 10 in a row. BUT I still think he was the best man for the job. These players are so bad, I honestly can't see any manager can get anything out these losers/fraudsters. We will be going down. New manager will leave or be sacked and in the summer we will be paying off another manager and looking around again for another bloke. DC knows the club and fans and should be allowed to fix things in my opinion. Even if that means going down and rebuilding from scratch. We're going down anyway.

I think some of the players should hang their heads in shame, we have an Intl GK who will not come to try and collect a corner, who plays short passes out of defence when the receiving player is marked by at least one of the opposition, a lack of midfield flair and strikers on the rare occasion they do get a decent pass couldn't the side of a barn.

There are some players who deserve to continue with the Rovers but a lot of them deserve to be gone

Cavegn McEachran Lockyer, Kilgour, Sparkes, Thomas, Conteh, Southam-Hales, Bilongo, Omochere, Dewsbury, Howley, Cotterill, Chang, Harrison, that would be my part of the squad to start the rebuild with

Now in 23rd position with -23 GD Harrogate 22nd with -13

It’s hardly surprising - we’ve been incredibly bad. Sadly, DC is evidently not the man to take us forward. I truly believe that this squad isn’t as bad as this - a new manager should be able to get more out of them. With the right appointment I think we can survive - but will the fools in charge make the right appointment?

This means nothing of course but here are today's bookies favourites to be our next manager...

Name : Odds : Current/Former job
Jon Brady :
4/5 : Resigned at Northampton, December 2024 and out of the job since
Matt Bloomfield : 7/4 : Sacked by Luton, October 2025
Steve Evans : 3/1 : Sacked by Rotherham, March 2025
Tony Pulis : 8/1 : Sacked by Sheffield Wednesday, December 2020 and out of the job since
Robbie Savage :
16/1 : Current FGR manager
Michael Flynn :
16/1 : Sacked by Cheltenham, September 2025
Gary Monk :
16/1 : Resigned at Cambridge, February 2025
Steve Bruce :
16/1 : Sacked by Blackpool, October 2025
Mike Dodds :
16/1 : Sacked by Wycombe, September 2025
Darren Ferguson :
16/1 : Sacked by Peterborough, October 2025

Anyone on that list that tickles your fancy?

I don't like Steve Evans. I hope we don't get him. Although he could do the job required. Think we need someone who can be ruthless and send rockets up the players arses.

Whoever comes in, I would get Hutchinson back from Cheltenham. He's done well there and is helping a potential relegation rival push away from us. Getting him back could drag them back into things.

Ferguson did well for Posh for a while, don't know much about Matt Bloomfield ex Blackpool Manager??, and Tony Pulis is ex Rovers so he might just have some passion and could possibly be quite ruthless

Ferguson or Bloomfield for me but we’ll get Brady. He did ok at Northampton and he’s a forthright Aussie so hopefully he can knock this chronically underperforming team into shape.

Brady had a lot to say about how Rovers won promotion in our 7-0 win. He complained that Scunthorpe played kids against us in that game as it gave us the advantage and complained about our pitch invasion before the game ended as it by the time it restarted, other games ended so we had the advantage of knowing what we had to do.

Should be interesting if he got the job.

According to FLW we are set to appoint Steve Evans as our new manager

Bristol Live stating Steve Evans has been appointed as manager until the end of the season

I don't know what I've done to deserve this. I'm glad it's just to the end of the season. I will obviously give him a chance. Like I said above, he could send rockets up the players arses - which I think is needed now. So maybe, he can keep us up. And if he does, then we can have a look at extending his stay or see who else is available that may be more preferred.

I do know he doesn't like us and was also vocal about our promotion following our 7-0 win over Scunthorpe. He will probably be professional about the job but if he fails to keep us up then he may secretly enjoy sending us out of the football league.

I stand by what I said. I don't like him and don't want him at our club. Although it's not at the same level as I feel towards Barton. Now he is here, I will give him a chance.
