In allusion to the other thread, these are not competing ideologies with one being right and the other being wrong - both are puerile in the sense that they are religiosity and tribalism engaging in zero-sum competition against each other. In the grand scheme of the Universe it's ******ed animal posturing - like a lion roaring to mark its dominance over a territory, or a peacock displaying its feathers as a show of strength.

Have a wee quote from George Orwell: Yes, I'm a ******ed mammal too who likes to get it up the other tribe as much as the next man, that's why I'm arguing on a football forum. You can understand how stupid a certain trait is and still engage in it though, hence the the point scoring thread - which to be fair was supposed to be a 'let it all out there without worrying about balance' thing (which is nice since I'm usually so reserved and reasonable).
I actually think that if people spent more time ranting on internet forums they'd have less time to be plotting atrocities and the world would be a better place. We've had this conversation beofre Mick - I think we agreed that the vast majority of people who post on here are very different in real life to what they are on here. A form of therapy if you will
