I made sure the daft ****s near me cheering Liverpool heard me say I wanted Man City to win.

Was this just within entrance F? I witnessed this in that area of the concourse anyway.

I just don't get why any apparent Hull City supporter, (or apparent supporter of any other team for that matter) could possibly cheer any other team as vociferously as I saw yesterday. Personally I couldn't give a **** which team won between Liverpool and Man City yesterday and even if I did have a slight leaning to one or the other, I still wouldn't have reacted anything like that lot did. I really really cannot understand it at all.

I'll admit to looking out for certain teams results - normally those that my mates support, (eg Nottingham Forest, Everton and Stevenage in recent years). And I might give a muted positive reaction if another team's result positively affects City. I could well laugh wholeheartedly when Man United or Chelsea get twatted by some team they shouldn't be twatted by. Because of our recent history I kind of like Cardiff and Bristol City - but there's no passion involved with them. I really could not understand that reaction from alleged City fans, to Liverpool scoring yesterday.

Ironically I don't actually know any Liverpool fans who are from Liverpool, all the scousers I've met are Evertonians, all the people I know that support Liverpool are from elsewhere!

I remember Noel Gallagher saying you see more Man City shirts around Manchester then Man Utd. That was at the time when Man City where bottom of the Championship.

Well working in Liverpool I have a decent gauge of this. Liverpool is definitely the dominant team that most support with fewer Everton fans. And one Tranmere fan. Of course it could just be a statistical anomaly where I work.

However the Everton fans seem much more enthusiastic about football in general and I know I can have a chat and laugh with them in general. I even remember one of my Everton supporting colleagues saying how nervous even he was watching us play Cardiff on May 4th last season - his words to me about that day were "I was nerve-wracked and glued to the TV as a neutral. What the HELL did you go through at the stadium?" So looking forward to chatting to him about yesterday when I get back to work on Weds. I still want Arsenal to get 4th though.

I was bemused, nay perplexed at the reaction of the winning bin dipper goal on the concourse.

I had money on the draw but if Man City had equalised in the last minute I wouldn't have even smiled.

The slap headed bloke in front of me was ecstatic, if he'd just won £100,00 on the result I still would have said his reaction was that of a proper silly ****.

I shared this view with my son( although I didn't drop the 'c bomb' due to him being 11) and said it loud enough so 'soft la' heard me.

    Scum.

There was an explosion of high pitched "yeeeaaahs" in Moore Spice before the match when Liverpool went 2-0 up.

I was in Moore Spice, and I can back this up.

Was you in the basement area?

If I'd had money on any kind of result that came in, I'd still have been a bit meh, (a big win might have been met with hypnotised silence). How can anyone really give a **** to what happens to the dominant showers of ****e at the top of the Prem, (apart from the few proper fans that have genuine connections to their teams).

Is now the time to confess that two years ago I bet on City to beat Nottingham Forest 2-1 at the KC? We were 2-0 up - and so I was actually quite pleased when they got their 93rd minute consolation and earnt me a good few quid.

I didn't even know there was a basement area.

I was on the ground floor, lucky enough to get a seat and a table.

Probably saw you at some point but didn't know. We were upstairs for a couple of pints, stood at the bar, then went downstairs when the football started.

I was wearing that 'We Are Hull City' shirt, just in case you saw me.

I think everyone down there was a Liverpool fan or wanted them to win, it was deafening when they scored.

The minute silence was impeccably observed too.

I saw somebody in the car park after the game who has never been to a City game in their life. One further, they've never been to any game in their life. One further, they've never shown any interest in football. Waste of a seat :emoticon-0149-no: :p

At the KC before setting off I saw a woman all in City gear with her kids but all of them had back packs of Man City. Found it quite baffling

I watched the Liverpool game and as a neutral of it I'm not going to deny I was quite pleased when they won (partially because one of my best mates is an Evertonian and I know it will piss him off) but also because on a football scale it's been far more interesting watching liverpool than any other team outside of East Yorkshire. Just my two pennies worth

It wasn't really a wasted seat, was it, 6,000 of the ****ers were empty.

There were about twenty of us who met up before the game and one sat watching the Liverpool game on his phone the entire time, though to be fair he was really there because his missus is a City fan. I was still tempted to drop his phone in someone's pint.

I know what you mean, but on the other hand we have to get more people watching, and we all have started watching at some stage. If they then continue to start coming to games then that is one of the advantages of being successful, which can increase revenue into the club.

Not necessarily a wasted seat as all fans have to have a first game, and that was the sort to get people hooked. I went to my first City game at 30 after the KC opened as a friend wanted to see it. I went to about 6 games that season, 10 the next, and so on and now a season ticket holder for last 4 years.

Just because someone hasn't been to Boothferry Park with only a few hundred in attendance, or supported since a kid, doesn't mean they can't be a City fan.

I also can't understand the hatred? of fans who wear replica kits, onesies or whatever else they choose to wear. If they support City isn't that what matters or would people prefer the day's with just a few hundred fans all dressed the same?

To be fair to the Liverpool fans I know, they've either started supporting them at the back end of their glory days or have been in the wilderness years & not supported Man Utd. Similar thing with Man City fans, I don't know anyone who's a new supporter. Utd fans probably grew up when Ron Atkinson was in charge. Evertonians were probably classed as glory supporters in their day.
As for us well if we can start getting glory supporters, it'll help fill the stadium & bring in extra money. We've had interest from Egypt, Peru, USA, Australia & Jamaica over the years due to players, I'm sure some will have stuck around!

In my party there was a Southampton season pass holder (not a relative) and an Arsenal fan. The Saints fan is from Hornsea and goes to the KC when he is "home". The Arsenal fan has been to more City games than he can remember, simply because he can never get a ticket for the Emirates. He was also due to be in an executive box at old Trafford on saturday for the ManU v Hull City match. When we organise a pub viewing he is always there, when we go to aways he always wants to come, he stands, chants, sings the songs and jumps for joy when we score, but he is a Londoner and will always say he is a gunner, but never a City fan. Its odd really.

They've won 10 trophies since 2000, including the champions league. That's hardly the wilderness.
