Was debating last night with a group of lads about the 'are day games better than night games' argument.
My view is that for some reason the atmosphere seems to be better at night. I can't fathom why... is it more booze, greater sound resomance, floodlights etc.... or just in my mind?
I look back and some of my greatest memories are at night games (Barca, Feyenoord, Milan).
Am I alone in my madness or do you favour night games too... and if so why?

Night games have always seemed a bit special at St James. Obviously I think our european adventures have made for some cracking nights so it could be linked to those games always being played on an evening, but even some of my other favourites are night games. 4-2 vs Sheff Wed in the stotting rain. Great night.

Don't mind the night games, better than the pre noon ko's, but still prefer the traditional 3:00 pm ko's.

I think the lights give night games something.

More likely its because they are often cup or European games...

Night games are better for me, for several reasons.

    1) Delayed sensation and foreplay of drinking and pre-match nerves make for the most orgasmic experience #Tashgasm

    2) If you get a ticket at the top of the stand looking out towards the Uni and across the City, it's quite spectacular. It's nice on a clear day at 3pm too, but the human brain being little evolved from that of a chimp, lights = pretttttttyyyyyyyyy.

    3) Walking back over the bridge in the cool night breeze, after a win, looking over the lights from the Quayside illuminating the shimmering tyne and the fluorescent display on the Millenium bridge, is one of my favourite past-times.

    4) It's more entertaining going out afterwards. Perhaps because it's usually not a weekend, where the main draw is "spot the girl without the OAP bus pass"... I've still yet to win a game of that.

    5) The shadows on the pitch are cooooooool... Like Fifa <ok>
