You're right SF, you can't recall a player that's on a season long loan to another Premier League club.
As we decided to put Alnwick into our 25 man squad, I don't think that we could recall Khumalo and use him, either.

Isn't it that if there's a loan fee, you can't recall?

Nah, it's definitely in the PL rules. You can even recall players in lower leagues where a fee is involved, can't remember it ever happening as you have to reach an agreement with the club he's loaned to and they'll likely ask for the full loan fee refunded. Wasn't Rose supposed to be on loan until the end of last season? I think he may have been sent home early as he was injured and then he ended up playing the last handful of games for us.
