I understand that Curtis Davies isnt playing because he is off form and there are players ahead of him who are playing better for the shirt. My question is, are we likely to see him in a City shirt again. With only 9 games to go and his contract running out soon, have we seen the last of him.

When does his contract run out? I dont recall him being on the list for this summer but I might have missed it.

Davies went from Hero to Zero at a rapid rate. Hope he finds his form soon, but he is going to have to fight like **** for a spot in the team because our other Centre backs are in excellent form ATM

Isnt this exactly the point in having a strong squad, so that if you lose your place you have to fight like **** to get it back and if you gain a place to have to play out of your skin to keep it?

He's still got a little more time on his contract, having said that. If he isnt getting game time he will want to leave. He looked like one of the best PL defenders last season whereas this year he has looked one of the worst. If we had of dropped Davies & Mcgregor earlier, we would be sitting much higher up

Drop McGregor for who? He's the best keeper at the club, simple as. I would replace him in the summer if we stay up and get a shedload of Premier League payments but we didnt have the money to replace him this season.

    Done.

Precisely. Unless he's sold this summer, which is unlikely as nobody will pay £5m for him on form, then he 100% will.

He'll go to one of the promoted clubs next season.
If the other three stay fit and Chezzy comes back he may not play again for us.

No he hasnt, he's made some mistakes and he's made some great saves. Exactly as you would expect for a keeper that cost as little as he did. And if we did drop him as soon as Jak or Harper make an error its "why isnt McGregor playing?"

Jakupovic had a fantastic game against Liverpool and only let one in against southampton, admittedly not the best ball out but we all know McGregor makes that kind of mistake. I dont know how he gets tagged as best Keeper at the club. The other two must be f**king useless. A new no1 Goalkeeper would be top of my transfer list!

Maguire (on loan), Chester (injured) and Davies (form) not able to get in the team means we have strength in depth there. We can't get rid of anybody because they can't get in the team right now. We have to make sure we pay them enough so they don't go elsewhere though.

McGregor is a fantastic goalkeeper who has made some mistakes this season. Lokeren away was easily his worst.

    Shut up you stupid ****.
We've got rid of Calamty and lover this ones next surely.
Mcgregors the best we've got. We can only buy someone in the close season. So stop ****ing moaning and support the team.

Well yeah, I - and I guess many others including perhaps Steve Bruce - 100% agree but we couldnt afford a keeper that we wanted this term after a record outlay. I dont quite see your point.

He's like a broken record with this Mcgregor nonsense, if we had a better keeper then rest Mcgregor but we don't, and Mcgregor is doing OK anyway. Is there some stats person on this board who can back up the fact that Mcgregor is a decent Prem keeper, might help. What moaners like this Tigerpants don't seem to appreciate is unsettling the fans regarding the keeper at this stage of the season helps nobody

The only stat I know of is that McGregor has faced three Premier League penalties and saved them all!

Quick google threw these up - neither make good reading for Mcgregor but then they don't compare him to what else we've got

    http://babb.telegraph.co.uk/2015/01/ranking-the-premier-league-goalkeepers-january-2015/

Or it depends how you look at it, this suggests he's our 5th best player this season
