Davide Somma is unlikely to feature again this season as he is back on the treatment table. His contract expires at the end of the season, he has hardly featured in the last three years, do we offer him a new deal or allow him to leave?

Warnock has stated he has no idea where he is at with Somma but that his fitness isn't right.

Let him go. We need to py wages on players likely to be able to play.

A years contract will make or break him. He needs a chance.

Unfortunately I would let him go. We just can't afford to keep someone who barely plays. He's effectively classed as dead wood with the likes of Connolly and Bromby.

I'd offer him a pay as you play at best if he gets no other offers.

I'd offer him a one year pay as you play at worst. He's done enough to warrant us sticking with him through his injury.

I suppose everybody apart from me will be wanting to sign Michael Owen as well!

I dont think we could be accused of not sticking with him. If he was a horse we would have shot him already. All the dead wood needs to be cleared out and the deck cleared to builld a squad of players who are likkely to be able to play week in, week out. There is no room for any passengers if we want a bit more quality on the piitch.

Agree totally. Our resources are extremely limited and can't be wasted on crocks

He's a good player and I like him but out of the 4 seasons with us and he's not featured for 3 of them due to loans and injuries. It's like Ben Parker too injury prone and taking up wages he's got to go.

I was so relieved to see the back of Parker, not so sure about Somma - In an ideal world I would like to see us let him go and bring in someone who will make a big difference up front.
