A midfielder who can play in defence. I thought we were pretty much solid in midfield, especially with the rotation policy and number of players we have there. Still, in mad dog we trust. http://www.southlondon-today.co.uk/Sport.cfm?id=31538&headline=David
Played for Ipswich and Wigan as a right back (primarily) and can play anywhere along the back four. Good signing and plenty versatile, whether we need him is another matter...
Freedman says it is short-term only, so sounds like it might be cover for the full-back positions. How is Fish's injury?
Fish played the the majority of the match on saturday and was then replaced by Flanagan. Considering it's a one month deal perhaps you're right SirKeefy; it is just a precaution for Fish.
Generally I think it is a mistake to take loan players, any short term benefits are outweighed by longer term disruption, UNLESS there is a specific gap in resources due to an injury. If Fish is injured this signing is fine. I could not go on Saturday but the radio commentary suggested that Weston nailed Fish twice in the first few minutes. If true this sums up Weston. It took him three seasons to make a tough tackle and then he chooses a Gills player.
It didn't take Weston that long at Gillingham. Remember when he laid the Rotherham keeper out and he had to go off, and they had used their subs,so an out field player had to go in goal.
