Massive coup for them if the rumour has any substance. Pity Pulis does not show a late interest in him :-(

Sky Bet have cut Swansea from 40/1 to even-money to make a shock swoop for Barcelona forward David Villa after seeing a string of significant bets.

The online betting firm added the Swans to their 'Transfer Specials' market by request on Wednesday afternoon and immediately saw a flurry of bets, with reports suggesting a three-month loan deal was on the cards.

Sky Bet's Chris Spicer said: "It is certainly a surprising development but, judging from the size of the stakes, it appears somebody knows something we don't.

"The suggestion is that Barcelona could allow the Spain striker to leave on a loan deal in the intention that he can regain form following the leg break, having looked some way off his best since returning at the start of the season.

"The Swans appear good suitors given their current Spanish contingent and preference to playing attractive football."

    Waddo
Well all I can say is "Good luck to Swansea mate" They play football and it's nice to see one of the(smaller clubs) NO OFFENCE to Swansea doing so well.
Just made a promise to Ma Lady Waddo, from now on in, I ignore ALL WUMS en bloc... Well tis Xmas as Smither's said earlier, peace and goodwill and all that.

So my New Year resolution is, ingorance is bliss.. P.S. just read that Owen has earned erm SEVEN THOUSAND POUNDS a minute since joining us. That is more than Kompany is earning at Citeh.. e.g. mins on the pitch. Funny ole game eh Waddo.

Hi Potts glad you took no notice of that Holt tool mate. he is now banned so fair play to the Mods. I read about the Owen thing myself and he has actually gone public to deny it. I think they are meaning that for the minutes he has actually played for us that is what it has cost us so far as opposed to his actual wage.
Yeah good luck swansea would love to see Villa in the prem!

    Yep
    Thanks Sandor and Smither's..<ok>
As for Villa Waddo, I would not mind one Villa coming into the Premier League and the other Villa going out..

You are also right Re Owen, bloody good hourly pay by anyone's standards. Can't wait to work out how much he earns, IF he EVER plays a full 90mins. <yikes>
My first wage in 68 was £4 and 12 shillings.

Pulis should take a leaf out of Denis Thatcher's book, When asked why he didn't say much he replied, " it is better to have people think your a fool, than open your mouth and remove all doubt"!!!

I find this hard to believe and fair play to Swansea if they pull it off. For me it just shows are out off touch we are when looking to buy proven forward talent and making it work within our setup.
