I just had a message from someone who is very reliable, David villa is considering a switch to Swansea to play regular games as oppourtunites are limited at Barca right now! The main reason is because of Laudrup, who is very very highly regarded in Spain and our style of football is another factor, i dont know if it will happen but i do know there are talks going on, im guessing Barca will be funding the Majority of his wages as they want a fighting fit player on their books not a player that is not getting games and taking longer to get up to speed. This isnt a 100% match fit player,im guessing the point of the deal is about it benefiting Barca and Villa as much as the Swans, but the word is,dont underestimate the pull of Micheal Laudrup and the positive effect Swansea are having on footballers in La Liga, the Swans is almost a fail free zone for Spanish talent and thanks to Michu and others talking about the good experience they are having it is a nice option for Spains best to play under a Spanish legend. Just remember how the likes of Cesc Fabrigas took to twitter for no reason other than to say how he loves the way we play football !! People may not notice so much here but there are waves being made in Spain by the sound of it, that is the Laudrup factor in operation!! This one is hot off the rumour press! by a few hours . there have been rumblings of it for a while now but if my source(HP) is to be beleived then we could be seeing the man here in January on loan !!
I hope so too mate !! apparently the spanish boys are very happy with the experience and all players talk i guess! one of our fellow posters printed stuff the other day about the new signings speaking and recruiting fellow spanish boys with a view to coming to swansea!! its no doubt that Laudrup is the main draw for them, that and the style of football of course! How far along it is i dont know, but im guessing that Laudrup is the type of astute guy that never asks the question unless he already knows the answer!! im not sure how i would feel about seeing one of the worlds greatest players pulling on the swans shirt while being managed by one of the former greatest world players!! its all a bit surreal isnt it !! I would love our club to be a La liga stepping stone though, a couple of seasons at the swans then moved on for big money to a top four club !! Beleive it when we see it of course but it sounds positive to me
I'd rather have Luke Moore. Fed up now with all these Spanish players taking jobs that British players should have.
Well I am not sure what Villa's game time has been this season, but when in Spain in mid-Sept I saw him come on at Getafe in his first appearance back from his leg break. He scored, looked his murderous best, and not a breath out of condition. If he can't make their team I could understand that .... but if he comes to us, unless he picked up a knock somewhere along the way, DG et al are going to need bum warmers on the bench 'cause he's starting. Villa, Pablo and Michu are just going to murder defenders over here. **** 4th we're going for 3rd.
anyone listening to the radio show swansea till i die ? its on now, not a bad program at all, enjoy! http://www.swanseasound.co.uk/on-air/swansea-till-i-die/swansea-till-i-die/
Musty, well have to take his word for it but I reckon we've got him sussed and it is the special tablets. Norway, hope your right mate and just in case apologies in advance because I've caused ructions on the Chelsea board by insulting Leeds fans, just in case any if those twats from Yorkshire show up here.
The Chelsea lads are a really good bunch Musty. I met two of them down here before our game and had a few pints. Top blokes
I had to register and respond to this Fcuk! That is all. Yeah and I have been lurking this board for a while and followed Swansea on and off the pitch since Laudrup was appointed (danish plastic fan here). If Villa goes to Swansea you have another fan for life. That guy is one of my favorite players. Michu and Villa to score the goals and Pablo to supply them. What more could you possibly ask for? By the way Swansea is like a the national team in Denmark now if you didn't know it (especially since the real national team pretty much sucks right now)
Dilligaf I had a look at what you said on the chelsea board. Was curious. Bloody that Marko is a bit of a knob, you didn't say anything wrong. Edit. After reading more into what this Marko was saying. I think I was wrong, he made some good points about painting all Leeds fans with the same brush.
Welcome to the board Spacey !! They are trying to sign him on loan and are in talks, Laudrup is the key factor in all of this, the likes of Villa wouldnt even look at coming here unless there was something they felt they could perhaps learn, im sure even the likes of Villa could learn a thing or from Laudrup and they can do it with a fresh challenge and in a different culture which is something that can refresh players mentally and to top it off everyone speaks spanish !! Im not saying its nailed on going to happen, but the fact we can even be mentioned in the same breath as these players is at least heartning for SCFC!! Im sure the likes of Pablo and Michu have caught the eye back in spain and im sure there are players over there thinking they can do just as well as our new signings and they get to play under Laudrup !! Its a very intresting story that hasnt gone away after 2 months
This is story which if true is unf*****g believable (oxymoron I know) What happened to a local club for local people or as to use another quote from League of Gentlemen " Will heaven be like Swansea? Edward: Yes, Tubbs. Only... bigger."
Not only that it wont go away either...(probably as this is my second article on the matter.. ) I just thought it was utter rubbish then i get a message earlier to say talks are taking place..who knows!! at least we find out in a few weeks time. It would be truely amazing but maybe unlikely, then i thought the same thing when i heard about Laudrup..and i thought the same thing when we were linked with pablo..and i thought the same thing when the club was prepared to pay£8m for siggy ...i thought the same thing when we signed scott sinclair! We are operating in a completly different environment nowadays and that is something that us fans are probably struggling with more than the board !!
