I think I'm right in saying, that he is out of contract in the summer. I for one think he's be a brilliant addition to the squad. He's quick and strong and has a brilliant record at tia level! Wouldn't cost anything as he's on a free and would probably cost something between 12-15k a week. Thoughts!?
Good player, but I don't see why when we have no defence, no midfield, no keepers an no target man, we'd be going for a quick goal scoring striker, which is the one position we have covered already in Fryatt.
add another 10k to his weekly wage and agree with all you write, apart from the fact that he will anywhere near hull city. I think he will end up at the seaside in the north west where he lives
Incredibly, Nugent is currently on ã40k a week. He won't get anything like that wherever he goes next, but I'm pretty sure he'll be expecting more than ã10-12k a week. I'd love to see him come to us, but it would have to be at the expense of Mclean, or Simpson, or both and a big target man would still be required. If we could shift Simpson and Mclean and bring in Nugent and Morison, I think we'd have the best strike force in the league.
How the hell is he still on ã40K a week. He hardly sets the world on fire. Another case of money gone mad.
Unless it's a smokescreen to keep prices and expectations down, I reckon that quote in the Fail means we won't be getting someone like Morrison into the building. I can see Nugent ending up either at one of the promoted sides or one of the relegated Premiership sides, which after today is almost certainly West Ham, Wigan and Blackpool.
A shame Donny didn't go down as we could have gone in for Sharp. Still could I suppose, but I imagine the asking price would be well over what we're willing to pay, considering we're looking at mainly Bosman's and presumably other employed targets who would cost less than ã1m.
