One-cap England international David Nugent has completed his move to Leicester City. The ex-Portsmouth striker was a free agent after his Fratton Park deal expires. He has signed a three-year contact with the Foxes. The former Preston player is Sven-Goran Eriksson's fifth signing of the summer after Kasper Schmeichel, Lee Peltier, Neil Danns and Sean St Ledger, as Leicester make a bid for promotion. Eriksson told the club's official website: "David is another player who has made it very clear that he wanted to play for us, which is a pleasing sign and shows that we are moving in the right direction. "He is a high-calibre footballer and has played in the Premier League and at Under 21 and international level for his country. "David is hard-working and will score goals for us, whilst creating opportunities for others. "We are very pleased to have him on board as we continue to assemble a squad fit to challenge for promotion."
